Abstract

A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for entering a viewable location on a gameboard having a virtual media object capable of presenting a media item within a media are presented. A game instance of a computer-implemented game is generated, where the game instance is associated with a game state of a player using a virtual gameboard. A graphical user interface displaying an exterior of one or more virtual buildings associated with the game instance is provided. A request to view an interior of a virtual structure is received via a device of the player. In response to the request, the interior of the virtual structure is displayed, including displaying a virtual media object in the interior of the virtual structure. The virtual media object is associated with a media playable to the player upon request.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein providing the information feed comprises:
indicating in the information feed access of a media item via the virtual object by the one or more other players.

         5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 , wherein:
the virtual object comprises a virtual structure; and the media item is accessible by the one or more other players within an interior view of the virtual structure.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 , wherein providing the information feed comprises:
identifying a social network relationship between the blocked player and a respective other player accessing the media item; and including information about the respective other player in the information feed due to the social network relationship between the blocked player and a respective other player.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 6 , wherein the social network relationship exists between a first social network account of the blocked player and a second social network account of the respective other player, wherein the first and second social network accounts are hosted external to the computer-implemented game.

8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein receiving a request from the blocked player to access to the virtual object in exchange for at least one item of value comprises:
receiving an amount of a currency from the blocked player to access the virtual object, wherein the currency comprises one of: a legal tender currency and a virtual currency.

9 . A machine-readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
identifying a blocked player that has gameplay access to a game instance of a computer-implemented game, the identifying of the blocked player being based at least in part on a gameplay status of the blocked player; based on identifying the blocked player, preventing the blocked player from accessing a feature of a virtual object in the game instance; providing to the blocked player an information feed indicating access of the feature of the virtual object by one or more other players; receiving a request from the blocked player to access the feature of the virtual object in exchange for provision by the blocked player of at least one item of value; and providing the blocked player access to the feature of the virtual object based on determining that the at least one item of value exceeds a predefined value threshold.

10 . The machine-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein providing to the blocked player the information feed comprises: providing an activity feed indicating a respective activity of each of the one or more other players with respect to the feature of the virtual object.

11 . The machine-readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein providing the information feed comprises:
indicating in the information feed access of a media item via the virtual object by the one or more other players.

         12 . The machine-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein:
the virtual object comprises a virtual structure; and the media item is accessible by the one or more other players within an interior view of the virtual structure.

13 . The machine-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein providing the information feed comprises:
identifying a social network relationship between the blocked player and a respective other player accessing the media item; and including information about the respective other player in the information feed due to the social network relationship between the blocked player and a respective other player.

14 . The machine-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the social network relationship exists between a first social network account of the blocked player and a second social network account of the respective other player, wherein the first and second social network accounts are hosted external to the computer-implemented game.

15 . The machine-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein receiving a request from the blocked player to access to the virtual object in exchange for at least one item of value comprises:
receiving an amount of a currency from the blocked player to access the virtual object, wherein the currency comprises one of: a legal tender currency and a virtual currency.

         16 . A computer system comprising:
a processor; a memory device holding an instruction set executable on the processor to cause the computer system to perform operations comprising:
       identifying a blocked player that has gameplay access to a game instance of a computer-implemented game, the identifying of the blocked player being based at least in part on a gameplay status of the blocked player;
