Claims

Abstract

A sealing device in which coming off from the housing is suppressed with a simple structure even when the housing is made of resin. A case 110 is characterized in that it has a cylindrical portion 111 to be fitted into the inner circumferential surface of a small diameter portion 31, a flange portion 112 extending to the outer circumferential side from an end of the cylindrical portion 111 and abutting against a step surface 32 between the small diameter portion 31 and a large diameter portion 33 so that the sealing device 100 is positioned, and a tab portion 113 configured such that it inclines to the outer circumferential side as it extends from the end of the flange portion 112 in the axial direction away from the cylindrical portion 111.

A sealing device for sealing an annular gap between a housing made of resin having a stepped shaft hole and a shaft inserted in the shaft hole, the shaft hole having a small diameter portion and a large diameter portion with a diameter larger than that of the small diameter portion, the sealing device to be fitted in a direction from the large diameter portion to the small diameter portion, the sealing device comprising:
 at least one sealing member being slideable on the outer circumferential surface of the shaft; and   a case made of metal in which the at least one sealing member is fixed,   the case comprising:   a cylindrical portion to be fitted into the inner circumferential surface of the small diameter portion,   a flange portion extending to the outer circumferential side from an end of the cylindrical portion and abutting against a step surface between the small diameter portion and the large diameter portion so that the sealing device is positioned,   and a tab portion inclining to the outer circumferential side while extending from an end of the flange portion in an axial direction away from the cylindrical portion and having an edge digging into the inner circumferential surface of the large diameter portion.   
     
     
         2 . A sealing device according to  claim 1 , wherein a recess is formed on the inner circumferential side of a joint portion between the flange portion and the tab portion.
