Chronology providing method, chonology providing apparatus, and recording medium containing chronology providing program
Abstract
A method for providing chronologic information that is generated by placing one or more pieces of related information according to information about elapsed time is provided. The method includes the steps of obtaining, by an obtaining unit, (i) basic information associating pieces of the related information with the information about time indicating positions on the chronologic information and (ii) information indicating a display form of the chronologic information; and providing, by a control unit, the chronologic information to a user by displaying the chronologic information in a display unit based on the information indicating a display form of the chronologic information by using the basic information.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . Apparatus comprising:
at least one processor programmed to;
provide information to a user, the information defining a graphical user interface, wherein:
the graphical user interface comprises a first area displaying a plurality of entries relating to the user, each of the plurality of entries being associated with a particular time, the plurality of entries being arranged in a chronological order; the graphical user interface comprises a second area in which the user edits information of at least one of the plurality of entries; and the graphical user interface simultaneously displays at least a portion of the first area and at least a portion of the second area.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the information edited by the user in the second area comprises a description for one of the plurality of entries.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first area of the graphical user interface allows the user to select for viewing one or more of the plurality of entries created during a certain time period.
4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of entries are displayed in the first area in a chronological order beginning with the user's birth.
5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the graphical user interface simultaneously displays at least a portion of the first area and at least a portion of the second area in a non-overlapping manner.
6 . A method, performed by at least one computer processor, the method comprising:
providing, by the at least one computer processor, information to a user, the information defining a graphical user interface; wherein:
the graphical user interface comprises a first area displaying a plurality of entries relating to the user, each of the plurality of entries being associated with a particular time, the plurality of entries being arranged in a chronological order;
the graphical user interface comprises a second area in which the user edits information of at least one of the plurality of entries; and
the graphical user interface simultaneously displays at least a portion of the first area and at least a portion of the second area.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the information edited by the user in the second area comprises a description for one of the plurality of entries.
8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the first area of the graphical user interface allows the user to select for viewing one or more of the plurality of entries created during a certain time period.
9 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the plurality of entries are displayed in the first area in a chronological order beginning with the user's birth.
10 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the graphical user interface simultaneously displays at least a portion of the first area and at least a portion of the second area in a non-overlapping manner.
11 . At least one computer-readable storage medium having instructions encoded thereon which, when executed in a computer system, cause the computer system to perform a method comprising:
providing information to a user, the information defining a graphical user interface; wherein:
the graphical user interface comprises a first area displaying a plurality of entries relating to the user, each of the plurality of entries being associated with a particular time, the plurality of entries being arranged in a chronological order;
the graphical user interface comprises a second area in which the user edits information of at least one of the plurality of entries; and
the graphical user interface simultaneously displays at least a portion of the first area and at least a portion of the second area.
12 . The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the information edited by the user in the second area comprises a description for one of the plurality of entries.
13 . The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the first area of the graphical user interface allows the user to select for viewing one or more of the plurality of entries created during a certain time period.
14 . The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the plurality of entries are displayed in the first area in a chronological order beginning with the user's birth.
15 . The at least one computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the graphical user interface simultaneously displays at least a portion of the first area and at least a portion of the second area in a non-overlapping manner.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
