Abstract
A line light provides a disc shaped battery carrying, in electrical connectivity, two parallel electrically conductive tubes, one tube on each battery pole. A line tube is carried adjacent and parallel to one electrically conductive tube. A waterproof coating extends entirely thereabout. An LED releasably simultaneously interconnects with the two electrically conductive tubes to complete a circuit providing electrical power for illumination of the LED.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat I claim is:
1 . A line light attachable to a fishing line for illuminating fishing lures during use under water comprising in combination:
a battery having an anode and a cathode; an electrically conductive tube defining a medial channel extending therethrough in electrical connectivity with the anode and an electrically conductive tube defining a medial channel extending therethrough in electrical connectivity with the cathode; a line tube defining a medial channel extending therethrough attached to the battery; a waterproof coating extending over and about the battery and the electrically conductive tubes; and an LED having a bulb and two electric contacts, the electric contacts releasably simultaneously engageable in the medial channels defined by the electrically conductive tubes to complete an electric circuit to illuminate the bulb.
2 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the battery is a watch battery.
3 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the battery is a lithium watch battery.
4 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the battery is a disc shaped watch battery.
5 . The line light of claim 1 wherein:
The first is attached to the anode and the second tube is attached to the cathode and the first and second tubes are parallel to one another.
6 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the first and second tubes are brass.
7 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the first tube is welded to the anode and the second tube is welded to the cathode.
8 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the LED generates ultraviolet light waves.
9 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the line light weighs less than 4 grams.
10 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the water proof coating is rubber.
11 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the water proof coating is latex.
12 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the water proof coating is plastic.
13 . The line light of claim 1 wherein: the water proof coating is formed from liquid tape.
14 . The line light of claim 1 further comprising:
A positioning means on the fishing line to positionally secure the line light to fishing line at a position relative to a lure.
15 . The line light of claim 14 wherein the positioning means is split shot lead weights.
16 . The line light of claim 14 wherein the positioning means is a piece of wood inserted into the medial channel of the line tube with the fishing line to compress the fishing line against the line tube wall.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
