Abstract
A polymeric matrix adhesive comprising a prepolymer urethane, a silane added to the prepolymer urethane, the silane reacts with the urethane to at least partially end-cap the urethane to produce a silane end-capped urethane, an aliphatic quencher, a reinforcing extender; and a thixotropic agent, wherein the polymeric matrix adhesive is waterproof.

1 . A cured, waterproof polymeric matrix adhesive comprising:
(a) a hydrophobically modified reinforcing extender; (b) a silane end-capped polymeric material; (c) a urethane component; and (d) a hydrocarbon.
2 . The cured, waterproof polymeric matrix adhesive of claim 1 , wherein a stoichiometry relationship of the hydrophobically modified reinforcing extender, the silane end-capped polymeric material, the urethane component, and the hydrocarbon is 0.5 to 2.5:1.5 to 10:0.5 to 2:4 to 7.

7 . The cured, waterproof polymeric matrix adhesive of claim 1 , wherein the hydrophobically modified reinforcing extender comprises a mineral component and an aliphatic silane.

9 . The cured, waterproof polymeric matrix adhesive of claim 1 , wherein the silane end-capped polymeric material forms a silanol bridge with a substrate.
10 . The cured, waterproof polymeric matrix adhesive of claim 1 , wherein the silane end-capped polymeric material comprises a siloxane.
11 . The cured, waterproof polymeric matrix adhesive of claim 1 , wherein the silane end-capped polymeric material comprises an Si(CH3)xO; wherein x ranges from 0 to 10.
12 . The cured, waterproof polymeric matrix adhesive of claim 1 , wherein the urethane component comprises a polyurethane linkage.
13 . The cured, waterproof polymeric matrix adhesive of claim 12 , wherein the polyurethane linkage comprises an —(NH)—(C═O)—O—.
