Flood control device
Abstract
The invention relates to a flood control device with direct sensing and control. The flood control device consists of a float which is connected with a flood barrier sheet and the flood barrier sheet will be pulled up by the float according to the flood water level. The flood barrier sheet is fixed at the support frame by having flaps. The flaps are filled by compressed air. The flood barrier sheet has a rounded ball shape protruding edge at four sides of the sheet which will be fully secured from slip out due to the pressure exerted from the flood water by compressed air filled flaps. The flood control device is anchored onto the ground by having a shaft (which is inserted into the hole of the bottom piece through a hard rubber ring at shaft end and groove at the bottom piece). A stand is anchored onto the ground and connected to the support frame of the flood control device with metal structure to prevent from collapsing due to force from the flood water.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A flood control device with direct sensing and control, said device comprising:
a base which will be embedded into the ground; a support frame which includes a pair of poles, wherein said pair of poles with its bottom portion extended into said ground and its upper portion upwardly extended to a predetermined height for receiving a transverse bar; a flood barrier sheet having its two side edges, top and bottom edges formed with round ends where they will be clamped side-by-side by compressed air filled flaps against the round ends of all four edges, wherein said flood barrier sheet has one end attached to said base and the other end attached to said transverse bar by at least one holder.
2 . The flood control device of claim 1 , wherein said flood barrier sheet is made of PVC fabric or material which is tough, not easily torn, 100% waterproof and has the ability to withstand very high water pressure.
3 . The flood control device of claim 2 , wherein said flood barrier sheet can be an individual sheet of PVC or roll form of PVC.
4 . The flood control device of claim 3 , wherein said base can accommodate a roller to roll in said flood barrier sheet and said base can be fully extended from said roller to be attached to said transverse bar.
5 . The flood control device of claim 1 , wherein said flood barrier sheet will be connected with a cable to a float which is guided by a plurality of gear rollers through the inner hollow part of the pole.
6 . The flood control device of claim 1 , wherein said support frame can be installed by having a shaft with its end to be inserted into a hole of a bottom piece.
7 . The flood control device of claim 6 , wherein said shaft end has a hard rubber ring which will be slotted with a groove at said bottom piece.
8 . The flood control device of claim 7 , wherein said bottom piece is made of hard rubber.
9 . The flood control device of claim 1 , wherein said bottom piece will be anchored securely onto the ground with bolting.
10 . The flood control device of claim 7 , wherein the shaft can be round, flat or any shape.
11 . The flood control device of claim 1 , wherein said support frame can be reinforced and prevented from collapsing due to the force of the flood water by installing a stand which will be anchored on the ground and connecting with a metal structure.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
