Electronic device control system having image displaying function and image capturing function

Abstract

An electronic device control system includes an image display unit, an image taking unit configured to take an image of a user, and a control unit. The control unit is configured to detect a motion of the user from the image taken by the image taking unit, estimate a momentum of the user based on weight and the motion of the user, and change an image displayed by the image display to another image, based on the estimated momentum.

1 . An electronic device including a control unit, the control unit configured to cause:
 an image display unit to display an image;   an image taking unit to take an image of a user;   a detection unit to detect a motion of the user and a distance to the user,   
       wherein the control unit is configured to
 change the image displayed by the image display unit based on the motion of the user and the distance of the user; and 
 determine a position of the user to be displayed on the image. 
 
     
     
         2 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein the detection unit detects at least one selected from the group consisting of a motion of the user's hands, a motion of the user's legs, a motion of the user's head, and a motion of user's entire body. 
     
     
         3 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein the control unit is configured to cause the display unit to display the motion of the user in form of an icon or an avatar. 
     
     
         4 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein the control unit is configured to
 calculate an exercise quantity based on the motion of the user and a weight of the user, and   cause the display unit to display an amount of calories burnt up by the user, based on the calculated exercise quantity.   
     
     
         5 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein, after the motion of the user is detected, the control unit is configured to cause the display unit to display a message corresponding to the motion or an image associated with the motion. 
     
     
         6 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein after the motion of the user is detected, the control unit is configured to cause the display unit to display a message corresponding to a result of the motion or an image associated with the motion. 
     
     
         7 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein the motion includes at least one selected from the group consisting of punch, kick, body attack, jumping, crouch, and running. 
     
     
         8 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein a direction from the image taking unit to the user is different from a direction of light that the display unit emits to display the image. 
     
     
         9 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein the display unit display the image by projecting the image. 
     
     
         10 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the detection unit detects the motion of the user and the distance to the user based on the image taken by the image taking unit using two or more different types of light having different wavelength bands, and   the types of light includes visible light and invisible light.   
     
     
         11 . The electronic device according to  claim 1 , wherein the control unit further comprises a person identification unit that identifies a preregistered person in the image displayed by the image display unit. 
     
     
         12 . An electronic device control method comprising:
 displaying an image by an image display unit;   taking an image of a user by an image taking unit;   detecting a motion of the user and a distance to the user a detection unit based on the image of the user taken by the image taking unit, and   changing the image displayed by the image display unit based on the motion of the user and the distance of the user; and   determining a position of the user to be displayed on the image.   
     
     
         13 . An electronic device comprising:
 an image display unit displaying an image;   an image taking unit taking an image of a user;   a detection unit that detects a motion of the user and a distance to the user; and   a control unit configured to:
 change the image displayed by the image display unit based on the motion of the user and the distance of the user; and 
 determine a position of the user to be displayed on the image.
