Systems and methods to search with a mobile device
Abstract
Systems and methods to search with a mobile device are described. The system may receive a request, over a network, from a device. The request may include search information to search a database and location information including a first location that identifies a location of the device. The system may further generate search results based on the search information that describes items and arranges their descriptions based on the search information, the first location, and a current event corresponding to the location of the device. The system may further arrange the descriptions of the items as a first arrangement based on an order associated with a second location that is associated with a historical event that matches the current event. The system may further communicate a user interface, over the network, to the device. The user interface include the descriptions of the items in accordance with the first arrangement.

1 . A system comprising:
a receiving module, implemented by one or more processors, that is configurable to receive a request, over a network, from a device, the request including search information that is utilized to search a database and location information including a first location that identifies a present location of the device; and a processing module, implemented by one or more processors, that is configurable to
generate search results based on the search information, the search results including a plurality of items,
arrange the plurality of items in the search results based on the search information, the first location, and a current event corresponding to the location of the device,
further arrange the plurality of items to generate a first arrangement based on an order associated with a second location that is associated with a historical event that matches the current event, and
communicate a user interface, over the network, to the device, the user interface including the plurality of the items being presented in accordance with the first arrangement
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processing module is further configurable to associate the search information to conversion information.
3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the conversion information includes a plurality of item information that is respectively associated with a plurality of locations including the second location.
4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the plurality of item information includes first item information that is associated with the second location, and wherein the processing module is configurable to retrieve the first item information.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processing module is further configurable to select a first advertisement from a plurality of advertisements based on the first arrangement.
6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the processing module is further configurable to generate the user interface to further include the first advertisement.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the receiving module is further configurable to receive the search information from a plurality of devices respectively, the plurality of devices including a first device and a second device, the processing module is further configurable to generate a plurality of search result sets based on the search information, the plurality of search result sets including a first result set and a second result set, the processing module is further configurable to communicate the plurality of search results sets to the plurality of devices respectively, wherein the first search result set is communicated to the first device and the second result set is communicated to the second device.

The system of claim 7 , wherein the receiving module is further configurable to receive purchase information from the plurality of devices, the purchase information describes purchases of a second plurality of items via the plurality of devices while located at the second location, the receiving module is configurable to receive the purchase information for a first item from the first device, the receiving module is further configurable to receive the purchase information for a second item from the second device.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the processing module is further configurable to generate item information including an order of most likely item to be purchased to least likely item to be purchased at the second location based on the purchase information that were utilized to purchase items.
10 . A method comprising:
receiving a request, over a network, from a device, the request including search information for searching a database and location information including a first location identifying a present location of the device; generating search results based on the search information, the search results including a plurality of items; arranging the plurality of items in the search results based on the search information, the first location, and a current event corresponding to the first location, the arranging including:
identifying the current event as being associated with the first location;
identifying a historical event matching the current event, the historical event further being associated with a second location that is associated with an order of most likely item to be purchased to least likely item to be purchased at the second location;
arranging the plurality of items into a first arrangement based on the order associated with the second location; and
communicating a user interface, over the network, to the device, the user interface including the plurality of the items being presented in accordance with the first arrangement.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the arranging the plurality of items in the search results further includes associating the search information to conversion information.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the conversion information includes a plurality of item information that is respectively associated with a plurality of locations including the second location.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the plurality of item information includes first item information that is associated with the second location, and wherein the arranging the plurality of items in the search results further includes retrieving the first item information.
14 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the arranging the plurality of items in the search results further includes selecting a first advertisement from a plurality of advertisements based on the first arrangement.
15 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising generating the user interface to further include the first advertisement.
16 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising:
receiving the search information from a plurality of devices respectively, the plurality of devices including a first device and a second device; generating a plurality of search result sets based on the search information, the plurality of search result sets including a first result set and a second result set; and communicating the plurality of search results sets to the plurality of devices respectively, wherein the first search result set being communicated to the first device and the second result set being communicated to the second device.
17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising:
receiving purchase information from the plurality of devices, the purchase information describing purchases of a second plurality of items utilizing the plurality of devices while located at the second location, the receiving the purchase information comprising:
receiving purchase information for a first item from the first device; and
receiving purchase information for a second item from the second device.
18 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising generating item information including an order of most likely item to be purchased to least likely item to be purchased at the second location based on the purchase information that were utilized to purchase items.
19 . One or more machine-readable storage devices having no transitory signals storing a set of instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:
receiving a request, over a network, from a device, the request including search information for searching a database and location information including a first location identifying a present location of the device; generating search results based on the search information, the search results including a plurality of items; arranging the plurality of items in the search results based on the search information, the first location, and a current event corresponding to the first location, the arranging including:
identifying the current event as being associated with the first location;
identifying a historical event matching the current event, the historical event further being associated with a second location that is associated with an order of most likely item to be purchased to least likely item to be purchased at the second location;
arranging the plurality of items into a first arrangement based on the order associated with the second location; and
communicating a user interface, over the network, to the device, the user interface including the plurality of the items being presented in accordance with the first arrangement.
