Abstract
In order that the application in the client terminal can be used continuously without being suspended temporarily, an information processing apparatus includes first processing means and a second processing section. That is, the information processing apparatus communicates via a network with a server including a first processing section of second processing means which including the first and the second processing section. The first processing means switches processing means which executes an application to either of the first or the second processing means. The second processing section executes a processing received from the first processing section, in case that the processing means is switched from the first processing means to the first processing section.

a first processing unit; and a second processing section which functions as part of a second processing unit included in the server and executes a processing instead of the first processing unit in status of being independent of the first processing, wherein the first processing unit switches a processing unit which executes an application to either of the first of the second processing unit, and the second processing section has a function which communicates information with the second processing unit of the server via the network and executes a processing related to the processing of the second processing unit in status of being independent of the first processing unit, in case of switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit.
2 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first processing unit synchronizes data concerning the application with the server in case that the processing unit is switched from the first processing unit to the second processing unit and in case that the processing unit is switched from the second processing unit to the first processing unit.
3 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit is performed in case that a collected information satisfies a predetermined condition.
4 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first processing unit executes a processing other than the application in case that the first processing unit switches the processing unit from the first processing unit to the second processing unit.
5 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit is performed in case of updating an operating system or a middleware executed by the first processing unit, and
the first processing unit updates the operating system or the middleware as a processing other than the application.
6 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit is performed in case that abnormality occurs to an operating system or a middleware executed by the first processing unit, and
the first processing unit executes a recovery processing from the abnormality as a processing other than the application.
7 . An information processing apparatus which communicates via a network with a client terminal including a first processing unit and a second processing section, the information processing apparatus comprising
a second processing unit which executes a processing based on a direction received from the client terminal instead of the first processing unit included in the client terminal, wherein the second processing unit communicates information with the second processing section of the client terminal via the network and directs the second processing section to execute a processing related to the processing of the second processing unit in status of being independent of the first processing unit in case of switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit.

The information processing apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein data concerning the application is synchronized with the client terminal in case that the processing unit is switched from the first processing unit to the second processing unit and in case that the processing unit is switched from the second processing unit to the first processing unit.
9 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit is performed in case that a collected information satisfies a predetermined condition.
10 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit is performed in case of updating an operating system or a middleware executed by the first processing unit.
11 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit is performed in case that abnormality occurs to an operating system or a middleware executed by the first processing unit.
12 . An information processing apparatus which communicates via a network with a server, the information processing apparatus comprising:
first processing means; and a second processing section which functions as part of a second processing means included in the server and executing a processing instead of the first processing means in status of being independent of the first processing means, wherein the first processing means switches processing means which executes an application to either of the first or the second processing means, and the second processing section has a function which communicates information with the second processing means of the server via the network and executes a processing related to the processing of the second processing means in status of being independent of the first processing means, in case of switching from the first processing means to the second processing means.
13 . An information processing apparatus which communicates via a network with a client terminal including first processing means and a second processing section, the information processing apparatus comprising:
second processing means which executes a processing based on a direction received from the client terminal instead of the first processing means included in the client terminal, wherein the second processing means communicates information with the second processing section of the client terminal via the network and directs the second processing section to execute a processing related to the processing of the second processing means in status of being independent of the first processing means in case of switching from the first processing means to the second processing means.
14 . An information processing system comprising:
a client terminal; and a server which is the information processing apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the client terminal is the information processing apparatus which communicates via a network with the server including a second processing unit, the information processing apparatus comprising: a first processing unit; and a second processing unit, wherein the first processing unit switches a processing unit which executes an application to either of the first or the second processing unit, and the second processing section has a function which communicates information with the second processing unit of the server via the network and executes a processing related to the processing of the second processing unit in status of being independent of the first processing unit, in case that the processing unit is switches from the first processing unit to the second processing unit.

An information processing method, in which a communication of a client terminal and a server via a network is used, the client terminal includes a first processing unit and a second processing section which functions as part of a second processing unit included in the server and executing a processing instead of the first processing unit, the information processing method comprising:
switching a processing unit for executing an application to either of the first or the second processing unit by the client terminal; communicating information with the second processing unit of the server via the network in case of switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit; and executing a processing related to the processing of the second processing unit by the second processing section in status of being independent of the first processing unit.
16 . The information processing method according to claim 15 , wherein
synchronizing data concerning the application between the client terminal and the server, in case that the processing unit is switched from the first processing unit to the second processing unit and in case that the processing unit is switched from the second processing unit to the first processing unit.
17 . The information processing method according to claim 15 , wherein executing, by the first processing unit, a processing other than the application, in case that the processing unit is switched from the first processing unit to the second processing unit.

A non-transitory storage medium storing a program which makes an information processing apparatus, which communicates via a network with a server including a second processing unit and includes a first a first processing unit and a second processing section which functions as part of the second processing unit included in the server and executing a processing instead of the first processing unit, perform, a processing performed by the information processing apparatus comprising:
a processing which switches a processing unit which executes an application to either of the first or the second processing unit; and a processing in which the second processing section communicates information with the second processing unit of the server via the network and executes a processing related to the processing of the second processing unit in status of being independent of the first processing unit, in case of switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit.
19 . The non-transitory storage medium according to claim 18 , the processing which performed by the information processing apparatus based on the program further comprising:
a processing which synchronizes data concerning the application with the server in case that the processing unit is switched from the first processing unit to the second processing unit and in case that the processing unit is switched from the second processing unit to the first processing unit.
20 . The non-transitory storage medium according to claim 18 , a processing which performed by the information processing apparatus based on the program further comprising:
a processing which is a processing other than the application and is performed by the first processing unit in case that the processing unit is switched from the first processing unit to the second processing unit.

A non-transitory storage medium storing a program which makes an information processing apparatus, which communicates via a network with a client terminal including a first processing unit and a second processing section and includes a second processing unit, perform, a processing performed by the information processing apparatus comprising:
a processing which switches a processing unit executing an application based on a direction received from the client terminal instead of the first processing unit of the client terminal; a processing in which the second processing unit communicates information with the client terminal via the network and directs the second processing section to execute a processing related to the processing of the second processing unit in status of being independent of the first processing unit in case of switching from the first processing unit to the second processing unit.
22 . The non-transitory storage medium according to claim 21 , the processing which performed by the information processing apparatus based on the program further comprising:
