Abstract

Method and Apparatus to enable liquid applications are disclosed by discovery of workload and application components within data centers; assessment of type, capability, IP, TCP, bandwidth usage, threads, security, access lists, policies, virtualization configuration of the discovered application components; real time monitoring of the application components across data centers public or private; and capacity analysis and intelligence to adjust underlying infrastructure thus enabling liquid applications.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method, comprising:
 discovery of workload and application components within data centers; assessment of type, capability, IP, TCP, bandwidth usage, threads, security, access lists, policies, virtualization configuration of the discovered application components;   real time monitoring of the application components across data centers public or private; and   capacity analysis and intelligence to adjust underlying infrastructure thus enabling liquid applications.   
     
     
         2 . An apparatus, comprising:
 an Internet based platform having an input from within data center agent configured to discover and monitor application atomic units; and   logic to adjust capacity of the infrastructure.
