Abstract
An anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition comprising a carrier comprising a cation and/or zwitterion and a hydrogen bond donor, wherein an amount of carrier is greater than an amount of any other material in the composition, and an antiperspirant active. This represents a new delivery form for antiperspirant actives and/or deodorant actives.

1 . An anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition comprising:
a) a carrier comprising i) at least one member chosen from a cation and zwitterion and ii) a hydrogen bond donor, wherein the amount of carrier is greater than the amount of any other material in the composition, wherein the carrier is in the form of a deep eutectic solvent, and b) an antiperspirant active.
2 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the cation/zwitterion is at least one member chosen from trimethylglycine, trimethylglycine hydrochloride, glycine, amino acids, and choline chloride.
3 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the cation/zwitterion comprises trimethylglycine.
4 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the hydrogen bond donor comprises urea.
5 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein hydrogen bond donor comprises urea, and the cation/zwitterion is at least one member chosen from trimethylglycine, glycine, and an amino acid.
6 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the carrier comprises trimethylglycine and urea.
7 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 6 , wherein the molar ratio of trimethylglycine to urea is 1:2.
8 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises greater than 50 weight % of the carrier.
9 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the antiperspirant active comprises AlCl 3 .6H 2 O.
10 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises 5 to 25 weight % of the antiperspirant active.
11 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the carrier comprises trimethylglycine and urea and the antiperspirant active comprises AlCl 3 .6H 2 O.
12 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 further comprising a stabilizing agent.
13 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 12 , wherein the stabilizing agent is at least one stabilizing agent chosen from PPG-14 butyl ether, chloride salts, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, bromides, nitrates, organic acids, glycerin, alcohol, ethanol, and isopropanol.
14 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 12 , wherein the stabilizing agent comprises sodium chloride.
15 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 12 , wherein the composition comprises 1 to 20 weight % of the stabilizing agent.
16 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the hydrogen bond donor comprises urea and at least one additional hydrogen bond donor.
17 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 16 , wherein the urea and the additional hydrogen bond donor are present in a 1:1 ratio.
18 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 further comprising a skin-feel additive.
19 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 18 , wherein the skin-feel additive is at least one skin-feel additive chosen from water, isopropanol, ethanol, cocamidopropyl trimethylglycine, cyclomethicone, PEG-12 dimethicone copolyol, steareth-2/steareth-20, polyoxyethylene homopolymer, palm kernel oil, mineral oil, and silicone polyether wax, wherein a total amount of free water in the composition is 5 weight % or less.
20 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 18 , wherein the skin-feel additive is present in an amount of 1 to 8 weight %.
21 . The anhydrous liquid antiperspirant composition of claim 1 , wherein the composition comprises trimethylglycine, urea, AlCl 3 .6H 2 O, and sodium chloride.
