Abstract
The present invention is a method of modifying music files to induce a desired state of consciousness. First and second modulations are introduced into a music file such that, when the music file is played, both of the modulations occur simultaneously. Additional modulations can be introduced, as well as sound tones at window frequencies.

A method of modifying a music file to induce a desired state of consciousness, comprising the following steps: Introducing a first modulation into the music file; and, introducing a second modulation into the music file such that, when the music file is played, said first modulation and said second modulation occur simultaneously.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein said first modulation comprises a main target frequency and said second modulation comprises a secondary target frequency.
3 . The method of claim 2 wherein said main target frequency is in the alpha range and said secondary target frequency is in the beta range.
4 . The method of claim 3 wherein both of said main target frequency and said secondary target frequency are in the delta range.
5 . The method of claim 2 further comprising the step of introducing a third modulation into the music file, wherein said third modulation comprises said main target frequency and, when the music file is played, said first modulation, said second modulation and said third modulation occur simultaneously.
6 . The method of claim 2 further comprising the step of introducing a third modulation into the music file, wherein said third modulation comprises a binding frequency and, when the music file is played, said first modulation, said second modulation and said third modulation occur simultaneously.
7 . The method of claim 6 wherein said binding frequency is in the beta range.
8 . The method of claim 6 wherein said binding frequency is higher than the upper beta range.

The method of claim 2 further comprising the step of introducing a third modulation into the music file, wherein said third modulation comprises an auxiliary target frequency and, when the music file is played, said first modulation, said second modulation and said third modulation occur simultaneously.
10 . The method of claim 1 wherein said first modulation comprises a first frequency and said second modulation comprises a second frequency such that the ratio of said frequencies is substantially the golden ratio.
11 . The method of claim 1 wherein said first modulation comprises a first frequency and said second modulation comprises a second frequency that is different from said first frequency, such that both of said frequencies are substantially Fibonacci numbers.
12 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of introducing a modulation into the music file that follows a repeating ramping pattern.
13 . The method of claim 12 wherein a single cycle of said ramping pattern comprises both ramping up and ramping down.
14 . The method of claim 1 wherein said first modulation has a stronger intensity than said second modulation.
15 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of introducing a third modulation into the music file, wherein said third modulation comprises a bridging frequency and, when the music file is played, said first modulation, said second modulation and said third modulation occur simultaneously.
16 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the additional steps of providing a list of music files and providing means to select at least one music file from said list.
17 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the additional steps of providing a list of brain entrainment designs and providing means to select at least one brain entrainment design from said list.
18 . The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of introducing at least one sound tone with a specific window frequency to carry an additional brain entrainment.
19 . A computer networking system, comprising: A plurality of music files residing on a computer storage means; presenting means for presenting a list of said plurality of music files remotely to a user; song selection means for the user to select at least one music file from said list; entrainment selection means for a user to select a brain entrainment modulation design; modification means for modifying a music file selected with said selection means according to a user-selected brain entrainment modulation design; and, supply means for providing the user with a music file that has been modified by said modification means.
20 . A device for modulating music in real time in order to induce a desired state of consciousness, said device comprising: A music source; playing means for playing music provided by said music source; storing means for storing a computer file comprising a brain entrainment modulation design; and, brain entrainment means for modulating music in real time according to a brain entrainment modulation design stored by said storing means.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
