Abstract
The invention provides corticosteroids that are chemically modified by covalent attachment of a water-soluble oligomer. A compound of the invention, when administered by any of a number of administration routes, exhibits different properties compared to the properties of the corticosteroid not attached to the water-soluble oligomer.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A compound comprising a corticosteroid residue covalently attached via a releasable linkage to a poly(ethylene oxide), wherein the corticosteroid residue is a residue dexamethasone and the poly(ethylene oxide) is branched.
2 . The compound of claim 1 , wherein the molecular weight of the poly(ethylene oxide) is below about 1500 Daltons.
3 . The compound of claim 1 , wherein the molecular weight of the poly(ethylene oxide) is below about 1300 Daltons.
4 . The compound of claim 1 , wherein the molecular weight of the poly(ethylene oxide) is below about 1000 Daltons.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
