Abstract
A sports training apparatus has handle member having a body including first and second handle members connected together by a middle segment, such that the handle members are held at an angle to one another, and adapted such that when the athlete holds the device behind their back while grasping the handle members with respective right and left hands, their upper body is held straight and stable with their shoulders pulled backwards, providing a better posture and stronger core control during training movements.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .) A sports training device used for properly aligning an athlete's body during training, said device comprising a handle member having a body including first and second handle members connected together by a middle segment, such that said handle members are held at an angle to one another, and adapted such that when said athlete holds said device behind their back while grasping said handle members with respective right and left hands, their upper body is held straight and stable with their shoulders pulled backwards providing a better posture and strong control during training movements.
2 .) The sports training device of claim 1 , wherein said angle between handle members is 45 degrees.
3 .) The sports training device of claim 1 , wherein said handle members each include a series of protrusions adapted to hold and align the fingers of each of said athlete's hands in proper positions during use.
4 .) The sports training device of claim 1 , wherein said handle members each have a rectangular cross-section, and a stopper member at an end opposite from the end attached to said middle segment.
5 .) The sports training device of claim 1 , wherein said middle segment includes elbow members on opposite ends thereof that connect to respective said handle members; wherein said elbow members are include a 22.5 degree bend therein, such that said handle members are held at a 45 degree angle to one another.
6 .) The sports training device of claim 1 , further comprising a sensor and an emitter thereon, and adapted to trigger a sound or light signal when said athlete's hands are positioned upon said handle members in predetermined positions.
7 .) The sports training device of claim 1 , wherein said handle member is formed from a material chosen from a list of materials comprising plastic, rubber, wood, foam, and metal.
8 .) A sports training apparatus used for properly aligning an athlete's body during training, said apparatus comprising a belt member adapted to be removably placed around the waist of said athlete's body; and a handle member adapted to be removably attached to said belt member, and having a body including first and second handle members connected together by a middle segment, such that said handle members are held at an angle to one another, and adapted such that when said athlete holds said device behind their back while grasping said handle members with respective right and left hands, their upper body is held straight and stable with their shoulders pulled backwards during training movements.
9 .) The sports training apparatus of claim 8 , wherein said middle segment includes elbow members on opposite ends thereof that connect to respective said handle members; wherein said elbow members are include a 22.5 degree bend therein, such that said handle members are held at a 45 degree angle to one another.
10 .) The sports training apparatus of claim 8 , wherein said handle members each include a series of protrusions adapted to hold and align the fingers of each of said athlete's hands in proper positions during use; and wherein said handle members have a rectangular cross-section, and a stopper member at an end opposite from the end attached to said middle segment.
11 .) The sports training apparatus of claim 8 , further comprising a sensor and an emitter thereon, and adapted to trigger a sound or light signal when said athlete's hands are positioned upon said handle members in predetermined positions.
12 .) The sports training apparatus of claim 8 , wherein said middle segment further includes a first magnet portion thereon; and wherein said belt member includes a second magnet portion thereon, such that said first and second magnet members are adapted to releasably connect with one another to thereby releasable hold said handle member to said belt member when not in use.
13 .) The sports training apparatus of claim 8 , wherein said belt member further includes a hook adapted to releasably hold said handle member thereon.
14 .) The sports training apparatus of claim 8 , having handle members adapted to be grasped by a pair of hockey gloves such that said athlete is capable of placing their left and right hands into respective said gloves and grasp respective said handle members, such that when said athlete holds said device behind their back while grasping said handle members with respective right and left hands in said gloves, their upper body is held straight and stable with their shoulders pulled backwards providing better posture and core control during hockey training movements.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
