Abstract

The grinding device is for removing pipe renovation material from a pipe. The grinding device has at least one cutter, a body and fastening means for fastening the grinding device to a rotation shaft. The body and the at least one cutter are accomplished of a single piece for grinding pipe renovation material both in the forward direction of the grinding device and in a direction transverse to the forward direction. In addition, a system for removing pipe renovation material from the pipe and use of the grinding device for removing pipe renovation material from the pipe are disclosed.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

1 . A grinding device for removing pipe renovation material from a pipe, the grinding device comprising:
at least one cutter, a body and fastening means for fastening the grinding device to a rotation shaft, the grinding device being characterized in that the body and the at least one cutter are accomplished of a single piece for grinding pipe renovation material both in the forward direction of the grinding device and in a direction transverse to the forward direction.

2 . A grinding device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a piece comprising the body and the at least one cutter has a diameter of at most 70% of the length of the piece.

3 . A grinding device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a piece comprising the body and the at least one cutter has a diameter of at least 30% of the length of the piece.

4 . A grinding device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a piece comprising the body and the at least one cutter has a diameter at least equal to the inner diameter of the pipe to be milled.

5 . A grinding device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a piece comprising the body and the at least one cutter has a diameter of at least half of the inner diameter of the pipe to be milled.

6 . A grinding device as claimed in claim 1 , it wherein the grinding device comprises a pressure-bearing arrangement having an outer surface that is arranged to remain stationary in relation to the rotation shaft of the grinding device when the grinding device rotates.

7 . A system for removing pipe renovation material from a pipe, the system comprising:
a rotation shaft, which is flexible but stiff in thrust; a crank for rotating the rotation shaft; and a grinding device comprising fastening means for fastening the grinding device to the rotation shaft and grinding means for grinding pipe renovation material both in the forward direction of the grinding device and in a direction transverse to the forward direction.

8 . A system as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the grinding device comprises at least one cutter and a body accomplished of a single piece.

9 . A system as claimed in claim 8 , wherein a piece comprising the body of the grinding device and the at least one cutter has a diameter of at most 70% of the length of the piece.

10 . A system as claimed in claim 8 , wherein a piece comprising the body of the grinding device and the at least one cutter has a diameter of at least 30% of the length of the piece.

11 . A system as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the system further comprises a cover tube at least partly surrounding the rotation shaft.

12 . A system as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the grinding device is provided with a pressure-bearing system which is arranged to receive the rotation shaft and whose surface arranged to be set against the cover tube of the pressure bearing is arranged to remain stationary in relation to the cover tube when the grinding device rotates.

13 . A system as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the grinding device is arranged to grind pipe renovation material:
from a pipe whose inner diameter is at most equal to the length of the grinding device; from a pipe whose inner diameter is at most twice the diameter the grinding device; or from a pipe whose inner diameter is at most equal to the length of the grinding device and at most twice the diameter of the grinding device.

14 . Use of a grinding device as claimed in claim 1 for removing pipe renovation material from a pipe having an inner diameter of a size at most equal to the length of the grinding device.

15 . Use of a grinding device as claimed in claim 1 for removing pipe renovation material from a pipe having an inner diameter of a size at most equal to the length of the grinding device and at most twice the diameter of the grinding device.

16 . Use of a grinding device as claimed in claim 1 for removing pipe renovation material from a pipe blocked by pipe renovation material.
