Method and system for listing items globally and regionally, and customized listing according to currency or shipping area

Abstract

In one example embodiment, there is provided a method comprising receiving from a user an indication of a target website containing content in a first language; receiving a user selection of a second language translating a portion of the content of the target website to the second language, and providing the translated portion of the content of the target website to the user in the second language.

1 . A method comprising:
 receiving from a user an indication of a target website containing content in a first language:   receiving a user selection of a second language,   translating a portion of the content of the target website to the second language, and   providing the translated portion of the content of the target website to the user in the second language.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 receiving a request from the user and retrieving, based on the request, a region-specific version of an offering available in the region associated with the target website; and   presenting the region-specific version of the offering to the user.   
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific product description. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific currency. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region other than the region associated with the target website. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region associated with the location of the user. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes customized presentation features. 
     
     
         8 . A system comprising:
 at least one module, executing on one or more computer processors, to:
 receive from a user an indication of a target website that contains content in a first language; 
 receive a user selection of a second language, 
 translate a portion of the content of the target website to the second language, and 
 provide the translated portion of the content of the target website to the user in the second language. 
   
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the at least one module is further to:
 receive a request from the user and retrieve, based on the request, a region-specific version of an offering available in the region associated with the target website; and   present the region-specific version of the offering to the user.   
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific product description. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific currency. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region other than the region associated with the target website. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region associated with the location of the user. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes customized presentation features. 
     
     
         15 . A machine readable medium, including instructions, which when performed by a machine, causes the machine to perform the operations of:
 receiving from a user an indication of a target website containing content in a first language;   receiving a user selection of a second language,   translating a portion of the content of the target website to the second language, and   providing the translated portion of the content of the target website to the user in the second language.   
     
     
         16 . The medium of  claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving a request from the user and retrieving, based on the request, a region-specific version of an offering available in the region associated with the target website; and   presenting the region-specific version of the offering to the user.   
     
     
         17 . The medium of  claim 16 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific product description. 
     
     
         18 . The medium of  claim 16 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific currency. 
     
     
         19 . The medium of  claim 16 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region other than the region associated with the target website. 
     
     
         20 . The medium of  claim 16 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region associated with the location of the user. 
     
     
         21 . The medium of  claim 15 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes customized presentation features.
