Method and system for listing items globally and regionally, and customized listing according to currency or shipping area

Abstract

In one example embodiment, there is provided a method comprising providing a particular version of a site associated with an electronic marketplace, wherein the electronic marketplace offers a plurality of offerings to a plurality of regions via a plurality of versions of the site; detecting a user access to the particular version of the site; receiving a request from the user and retrieving, based on the request, a region-specific version of an offering available in the region associated with the particular version of the site; and presenting the region-specific version of the offering to the user.

1 . A method comprising:
 providing a particular version of a site associated with an electronic marketplace, wherein the electronic marketplace offers a plurality of offerings to a plurality of regions via a plurality of versions of the site;   detecting a user access to the particular version of the site;   receiving a request from the user and retrieving, based on the request, a region-specific version of an offering available in the region associated with the particular version of the site; and   presetting the region-specific version of the offering to the user.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific product description. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific currency. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region associated with the particular version of the site. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region associated with the location of the user. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes customized presentation features. 
     
     
         7 . A system comprising:
 at least one module, executing on one or more computer processors, to:
 provide a particular version of a site associated with an electronic marketplace, wherein the electronic marketplace offers a plurality of offerings to a plurality of regions via a plurality of versions of the site; 
 detect a user access to the particular version of the site; 
 receive a request from the user and retrieve, based on the request, a region-specific version of an offering available in the region associated with the particular version of the site; and 
 present the region-specific version of the offering to the user. 
   
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific product description. 
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific currency. 
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region associated with the particular version of the site. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region associated with the location of the user. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes customized presentation features. 
     
     
         13 . A machine readable medium, including instructions, which when performed machine, causes the machine to perform the operations of:
 providing a particular version of a site associated with an electronic marketplace, wherein the electronic marketplace offers a plurality of offerings to a plurality of regions via a plurality of versions of the site;   detecting a user access to the particular version of the site;   receiving a request from the user and retrieving, based on the request, a region-specific version of an offering available in the region associated with the particular version of the site; and   presenting the region-specific version of the offering to the user.   
     
     
         14 . The medium of  claim 13 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific product description. 
     
     
         15 . The medium of  claim 13 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a region-specific currency. 
     
     
         16 . The medium of  claim 13 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region associated with the particular version of the site. 
     
     
         17 . The medium of  claim 13 , wherein the region-specific version of an offering includes a language of a region associated with the location of the user.
