Abstract
According to an embodiment, a system comprises a remote server adapted to interact with a buyer device and one or more other servers over a network, wherein the remote server is adapted to implement a shopping cart. The system also comprises one or more processors, and one or more memories adapted to store a plurality of machine-readable instructions which when executed by the one or more processors are adapted to cause the system to receive, at the remote server, first transaction info nation from the buyer device through the shopping cart, wherein the first transaction information comprises a transaction request from a first seller; receive, at the remote server, second transaction information from the buyer device through the shopping cart, wherein the second transaction information comprises a transaction request from a second seller; and process the first and second transaction information through the shopping cart for the first and second seller.

one or more processors; and one or more memories adapted to store a plurality of machine-readable instructions which are executable by the one or more processors to cause the system to: receive transaction information via an electronic shopping cart, wherein the transaction information is associated with two or more items that are offered through respective webpages of two or more sellers; retrieve data relating to the two or more items; update, based on the data relating to the two or more items and without requiring reloading of the respective webpages of the two or more sellers, the electronic shopping cart; and
process the transaction information for the two or more sellers.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further executable to cause the system to: generate the shopping cart on demand,
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the two or more items that are offered through the respective webpages includes at least one service.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further executable to cause the system to: receive secure requests comprising AJAX over HTTPS requests at a remote server storing information about the items.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further executable to cause the system to: update the shopping cart by at least one of asynchronous/synchronous HTTP requests/responses or JSON-P requests/responses such that the reloading of the respective webpage of the two or more sellers is not needed for the update.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further executable to cause the system to: provide remote server interfaces selectable by a user of a user device for updating the shopping cart.
7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the remote server interfaces further comprise at least one of remote server-hosted HTML buttons or links.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the process the transaction information for the two or more sellers includes distributing payments to the two or more sellers.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the process the transaction information for the two or more sellers includes distributing the payments to the two or more sellers, respectively, by using an adaptive payment API or other payment aggregation-distribution operation.
10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions are further executable to cause the system to: maintain contents of the shopping cart when the shopping cart is removed from a website or domain associated with one or more of the two or more sellers.
11 . A method comprising:
receiving, at a remote server, transaction information via an electronic shopping cart, wherein the transaction information is associated with two or more items that are offered through respective webpages of two or more sellers; retrieving, at the remote server, data relating to the two or more items; updating, based on the data relating to the two or more items and without requiring reloading of the respective webpages of the two or more sellers, the electronic shopping cart; and processing, at the remote server, the, transaction information for the two or more sellers.
12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising: providing cross domain shopping capabilities between the two or more sellers using techniques including JSON-P techniques.
13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein an interactive web application is used for retrieving data from the remote server using a XMLHttpRequest object and/or JSON-P cross-domain techniques.
14 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising: serving, by the remote server, information associated with the two or more items, wherein the two or more sellers have respective accounts with the remote server.
15 . The method of claim 11 , wherein information associated with the two or more items is generated by a respective webpage of the two or more sellers.
16 . The method of claim 11 , wherein details of the information associated with the two or more items are present in HTML form object that the shopping cart intercepts.
17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising: where the information associated with the two or more items is present in the HTML form object, facilitating a transaction associated with the two or more sellers in connection with the two or more items, wherein the shopping cart interacts only with the remote server.
18 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising: presenting the shopping cart on a respective website of the two or more sellers.
19 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising: offering checkout across different sellers' enabled domains.
20 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions which, in response to execution by a computer system, cause the computer system to perform operations comprising;
receiving transaction information via an electronic shopping cart, wherein the transaction information is associated with two or more items that are offered through respective webpages of two or more sellers; retrieving data relating to the two or more items; updating, based on the data relating to the two or more items and without requiring reloading of the respective webpages of the two or more sellers, the electronic shopping cart; and processing the transaction information for the two or more sellers.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
