Abstract
An embodiment of the invention, to provide a recording method and a storage medium for BCA data with high reliability for a storage medium and a method for reproducing BCA data from the storage medium, and an information recording apparatus and an information reproducing apparatus. In a conventional optical disk, low reliability data is recorded in a data area of BCA. Thus, the thickness of a film material for use in a recording layer oriented to BCA data or close to the inner periphery of the storage medium in the vicinity thereof is formed in uniform thickness by using a substrate of the storage medium, the substrate being formed by being suctioned by means of adsorbing mechanisms formed in an arc shape so as to integrated two of the adsorbing mechanisms to be adjacent to each other.

a substrate; recorded layers formed on or above the substrate; a system lead-out area arranged on a first one of the recorded layers at an inner periphery side of the optical disc; a data lead-out area arranged on the first one of the recorded layers and arranged radially outward of the system lead-out area, wherein a track pitch in the system lead-out area is wider than another track pitch in the data lead-out area, and a system lead-in area arranged on a second one of the recorded layers, with a relation “φm<φSYLDIin” where φm denotes an innermost peripheral diameter of a forming area of the second one of the recorded layers, and φSYLDIin denotes an innermost peripheral diameter of the system lead-in area.
2 . A method of recording information on an optical disc comprising:
a substrate; recorded layers formed on or above the substrate; a system lead-out area arranged on a first one of the recorded layers at an inner periphery side of the optical disc; a data lead-out area arranged on the first one of the recorded layers and arranged radially outward of the system lead-out area, wherein a track pitch in the system lead-out area is wider than another track pitch in the data lead-out area, and a system lead-in area arranged on a second one of the recorded layers, with a relation “φm<φSYLDIin” where φm denotes an innermost peripheral diameter of a forming area of the second one of the recorded layers, and φSYLDIin denotes an innermost peripheral diameter of the system lead-in area, the method comprising:
recording the information on the recorded layers.
3 . A method of reproducing information from an optical disc comprising
a substrate; recorded layers formed on or above the substrate; a system lead-out area arranged on a first one of the recorded layers at an inner periphery side of the optical disc; a data lead-out area arranged on the first one of the recorded layers and arranged radially outward of the system lead-out area, wherein a track pitch in the system lead-out area is wider than another track pitch in the data lead-out area, and a system lead-in area arranged on a second one of the recorded layers, with a relation “φm<φSYLDIin” where φm denotes an innermost peripheral diameter of a forming area of the second one of the recorded layers, and φSYLDIin denotes an innermost peripheral diameter of the system lead-in area, the method comprising:
emitting light; and
reproducing the information from one of the recorded layers using the emitted light.
4 . An information recording apparatus configured to record information on the optical disc as defined in claim 1 , the apparatus comprising:
a unit configured to record the information on the recorded layers.
5 . An information reproducing apparatus configured to reproduce information from the optical disc as defined in claim 1 , the apparatus comprising:
