Tanner Project for Personalized Medicine
Abstract
A method for providing recommendations to a user based on user activity, where the user activity data encompasses health and medical data for the user. The activity data including the health and medical data is recorded on a transportable recordable medium (TRM) that can be a component of any type of user device. The activity data is transferred by the user device to a profiler across a network, where the profiler stores a user controlled profile that includes the activity data sent by the user device. The activity data is processed to identify a plurality of user patterns. Health related suggestions specific to the user based on the user patterns are then created for and provided to the user by the profiler. The health related suggestions are received by the user device from the profiler and made accessible to the user.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
recording activity data on a transportable recordable medium (TRM) for a user to update a user profile for the user, the activity data including health or medical data for the user, transferring the activity data by a user device to a profiler across a network, the profiler storing a user controlled profile including the activity data; and receiving a health related suggestion for the user by the user device based on the user profile.
2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the health related suggestion is a health warning.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the health warning is a notice of a drug interaction or side effect.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising:
enforcing different levels of security for health, medical and other activity data.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein medical data includes allergies and/or diseases suffered by the user.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein health data includes height, weight and physical restrictions.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein activity data includes user habits.
8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 7 , wherein user habits include eating habits, exercise habits and medication usage.
9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the health warning is a notice of an allergen in a purchased item in the activity data.
10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the activity data is collected from a doctor office or medical center.
11 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein activity data is automatically monitored by a medical watch bot to generate medical warnings.
12 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the user device is a cellular phone.
13 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored therein, which when executed by a computer, cause the computer to perform a set of operations comprising:
recording activity data on a transportable recordable medium (TRM) for a user to update a user profile for the user, the activity data including health or medical data for the user; transferring the activity data by a user device to a profiler across a network, the profiler storing a user controlled profile including the activity data; and receiving a health related suggestion for the user by the user device based on the user profile.
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the health related suggestions is a health warning.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the health warning is a notice of a drug interaction or side effect.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , further including instructions which when executed cause the computer to perform operations comprising:
enforcing different levels of security for health, medical and other activity data.
15 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein medical data includes allergies and/or diseases suffered by the user.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein medical data includes allergies and diseases suffered by the user.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein activity data includes user habits.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein user habits include eating habits, exercise habits and medication usage.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the health warning is a notice of an allergen in a purchased item in the activity data.
20 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the activity data is collected from a doctor office or medical center.
21 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 13 , wherein activity data is automatically monitored by a medical watch bot to generate medical warnings.
22 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the user device is a cellular phone.
23 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein activity data is collected by bar code scanning.
24 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein activity data includes purchased foods and wherein the health related suggestion is based on contents of the purchased foods.
25 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein activity data is collected by bar code scanning.
26 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein activity data includes purchased foods and wherein the health related suggestion is based on contents of the purchased foods.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
