Abstract
Principles of the present disclosure contemplate use of a flexible sleeve to aid in donning and doffing garments, for example compression garments. The compression garment may be rolled around the sleeve via an eversion process. The compression garment may be unrolled from the sleeve and onto a limb via a reverse eversion process. Likewise, the compression garment may be unrolled from around a limb and onto the sleeve via an eversion process. By utilizing an eversion-based approach, compression garments may be donned and/or doffed more quickly and easily.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An apparatus for donning and doffing a compression garment, the apparatus comprising:
a single continuous flexible material integrally formed as a hollow toroid; wherein the hollow toroid has an inner diameter configured to receive a leg of a user, and wherein the toroid is configured for contact with at least one opening of a compression garment such that the compression garment can be continuously everted onto the toroid.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the hollow toroid comprises a cavity.
3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the cavity substantially comprises only air therein.
4 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the cavity comprises a liquid therein.
5 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the cavity comprises a powder therein.
6 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the cavity comprises a jelly therein.
7 . The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the cavity comprises a plurality of beads therein.
8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein a cross section of the hollow toroid has substantially a shape of an annulus.
9 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the annulus comprises substantially a shape of an area bounded by two concentric circles.
10 . The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the cross section is taken along a plane that is substantially parallel with an inner substantially circular circumference and an outer substantially circular circumference of the toroid.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
