Abstract
In an embodiment, a method of data sharing is disclosed. The method may include routing a data set to a specific device in response to a data selection and a target selection.

1 . A method of data sharing comprising:
displaying a first graphical representation associated with a first data set on a first touchscreen, a first device comprising said first touchscreen; receiving a first touchscreen input at said first touchscreen, said first touchscreen input indicating a first data selection of said first graphical representation; accessing, with a data sharing device, a first target selection of a first external display, said first target selection being indicated by a second touchscreen input, and a second device comprising said first external display; and wirelessly routing said first data set to said second device in response to said first data and first target selections.
2 . A computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions that when executed cause a computer system to perform a method of data sharing, said method comprising:
displaying a first graphical representation associated with a first data set on a first touchscreen, a first device comprising said first touchscreen; receiving a first touchscreen input at said first touchscreen, said first touchscreen input indicating a first data selection of said first graphical representation; accessing a first target selection of a first external display, said first target selection being indicated by a second touchscreen input, and a second device comprising said first external display; and wirelessly routing said first data set to said second device in response to said first data and first target selections.
3 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
detecting a flicking or sliding gesture along said first touchscreen, said first and second touchscreen inputs resulting from said flicking or sliding gesture.
4 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
identifying said second device in response to said first data selection.
5 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
identifying said second device in response to said first target selection.
6 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
detecting a touching of a location on said first touchscreen, said location corresponding to said first graphical representation; and determining that said first data set is to be routed to said second device based on a duration of said touching of said location being longer than a predefined duration threshold and based on said first target selection.
7 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
receiving said second touchscreen input at said first external display, said first external display comprising a second touchscreen.
8 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
selecting an optic signal transceiver that is communicatively associated with said first device; and identifying said second device with said optic signal transceiver.
9 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
selecting a transceiver that is communicatively associated with said first device, said transceiver configured for radio frequency (RF) transmissions in the RF range of approximately 2.4 to 2.48 gigahertz; and identifying said second device with said transceiver.
10 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
identifying said second device based on a network presence of said second device.
11 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
identifying a linear data path between said first and second devices; and identifying said first external display in response to said identifying of said linear data path.
12 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
receiving said first and second touchscreen inputs at first and second locations, respectively, on said first touchscreen; identifying a first geometric ray based on said first and second locations; and determining that said second device is located along said first geometric ray to thereby select said first external display.
13 . The computer-readable medium of claim 12 , wherein said method further comprises:
identifying a spatial orientation of said first touchscreen relative to a reference plane; and identifying said first geometric ray based on said first location, second location and spatial orientation.
14 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
routing said first data set to said second device in response to said first data and first target selections such that a second graphical representation of, or associated with, said first data set is displayed on said first external display; receiving a scrolling, rotating, resizing or repositioning input associated with said first data set at said first touchscreen; and enabling a scrolling, rotating, resizing or repositioning of said second graphical representation on said first external display in response to said scrolling, rotating, resizing or repositioning input.
15 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
identifying a first file, application or program associated with said first graphical representation in response to said first data selection; launching said first file, application or program on said first external display in response to said first data and first target selections; displaying a second graphical representation associated with a second data set on said first touchscreen; receiving a second data selection of said second graphical representation at said first touchscreen; identifying a second file, application or program associated with said second graphical representation in response to said second data selection; receiving a second target selection of said first touchscreen at said first touchscreen; and launching said second file, application or program on said first touchscreen in response to said second data and second target selections.
16 . The computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein said method further comprises:
detecting a touch input at a location on said first touchscreen, said location corresponding to said second graphical representation; and identifying said second data and second target selections based on said detecting of said touch input at said location.
17 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
identifying an application associated with said first graphical representation in response to said first data selection, said application comprising first and second graphical user interfaces (GUIs); launching said first and second GUIs on said first touchscreen and said first external display, respectively, in response to said first data and first target selections; accessing a data file having a data format associated with said application, said data file comprising a plurality of electronic pages (EPs); generating a plurality of images corresponding to said plurality of EPs, respectively; displaying a scrollable list of said plurality of images in said first GUI; accessing a first selection of a first image from among said plurality of images within said scrollable list; identifying a first EP from among said plurality of EPs that corresponds to said first image in response to said first selection; and displaying said first EP in said second GUI.
18 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
displaying an image or virtual representation of said second device on said first touchscreen; and enabling a routing of said first data set to said second device in response to a repositioning of said first graphical representation toward said image or virtual representation on said first touchscreen, said repositioning indicating said first target selection.
19 . The computer-readable medium of claim 2 , wherein said method further comprises:
displaying an image or virtual representation of said second device on said first touchscreen; and enabling a routing of said first data set to said second device in response to a touching of said image or virtual representation on said first touchscreen, said touching indicating said first target selection.
20 . A data sharing system comprising:
a first device comprising a first touchscreen; a router; and a data sharing control module communicatively associated with said first touchscreen and said router, said data sharing control module configured to enable a display of a first graphical representation associated with a first data set on said first touchscreen, enable a detection of a first touchscreen input at said first touchscreen, said first touchscreen input indicating a first data selection of said first graphical representation, access a first target selection of a first external display, said first target selection being indicated by a second touchscreen input, a second device comprising said first external display, and cause said router to wirelessly route said first data set to said second device in response to said first data and first target selections.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
