Contents management method and apparatus

Abstract

A contents management method and system, the contents management method including: generating contents; and transmitting the generated contents to a Web server, wherein the Web server receives the contents, stores the contents, manages the contents, and maintains a list of the contents so that the contents are easily accessible by a terminal.

1 . A mobile communication device comprising:
 memory to store one or more contents; and   a control module operatively coupled with the memory, the control module configured to:
 identify a network to which the mobile communication device is connected; 
 determine whether the network corresponds to a Wi-Fi network; and 
 automatically transmit, via the network, at least one portion of the one or more contents to a server for storing, the automatically transmitting based at least in part on a determination that the network corresponds to the Wi-Fi network. 
   
     
     
         2 . The mobile communication device of  claim 1 , wherein the control module is configured to:
 refrain from automatically transmitting the at least one portion to the server based at least in part on a determination that the network does not correspond to the Wi-Fi network.   
     
     
         3 . The mobile communication device of  claim 1 , wherein the control module is configured to:
 determine that the mobile communication device is accessible to the server via the network.   
     
     
         4 . The mobile communication device of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more contents comprise at least one of a photograph, music, a video, an e-mail, an electronic book, a schedule, a message, or a memo. 
     
     
         5 . The mobile communication device of  claim 1 , wherein the control module is configured to:
 terminate the transmitting of the at least one portion to the server based at least in part on a determination that the mobile communication device is disconnected from the Wi-Fi network.   
     
     
         6 . The mobile communication device of  claim 1 , wherein the control module is configured to:
 perform the transmitting of the at least one portion further based on a determination that an additional specified condition is satisfied in relation with the mobile communication device.   
     
     
         7 . The mobile communication device of  claim 1 , wherein the control module is configured to:
 receive at least one content from the server via the network, the at least one content transmitted to the server from another mobile communication device.   
     
     
         8 . The mobile communication device of  claim 7 , wherein the mobile communication device and the other mobile communication device correspond to a same user identifier in relation with a service provided by the server. 
     
     
         9 . An apparatus comprising:
 memory to store one or more contents; and   a control module operatively coupled with the memory, the control module configured to:
 identify a network available to the apparatus; 
 determine that the network includes a specified network; and 
 automatically transmit, via the network, at least one portion of the one or more contents to an electronic device external to the apparatus based at least in part on the determining. 
   
     
     
         10 . The apparatus of  claim 9 , wherein the control module is configured to:
 terminate the transmitting of the at least one portion to the electronic device based at least in part on a determination that the apparatus is disconnected from the specified network.   
     
     
         11 . The apparatus of  claim 9 , wherein the specified network comprises at least one of a Wi-Fi network, a CDMA network, or a WiBro Network. 
     
     
         12 . The apparatus of  claim 9 , wherein the electronic device comprises a server accessible via the network. 
     
     
         13 . The apparatus of  claim 9 , wherein the control module is configured to:
 receive at least one content from the electronic device via the network, the at least one content transmitted to the electronic device from another electronic device external to the apparatus and the electronic device.   
     
     
         14 . The apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein the apparatus and the other electronic device correspond to a same user identifier in relation with a service provided by the electronic device. 
     
     
         15 . A method comprising:
 determining, at an electronic device, that a network available to the electronic device includes a specified network; and   automatically transmitting, via the network, at least one portion of one or more contents stored in the electronic device to an external device based at least in part on the determining.   
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the specified network comprises at least one of a Wi-Fi network or a cellular communication network. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the at least one portion comprises at least one of a newly generated content or an updated content. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the automatically transmitting comprises:
 terminating the transmitting of the at least one portion to the external device based at least in part on a determination that the network available to the electronic device has changed from the specified network to another network.   
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 15 , wherein the automatically transmitting comprises:
 receiving at least one content from the external device, the at least one content transmitted to the external device from another electronic device.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , wherein the electronic device and the other electronic device correspond to a same user identifier in relation with a service provided by the external device.
