Abstract

This disclosure relates to the treatment of hematologic cancers, for example, cancers of the blood, by methods that include administration of EGCG and at least one of a purine nucleoside analog and an alkylating agent. In particular, methods of treating chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) are described.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method of treating a hematologic cancer in a subject comprising the steps of:
 (a) administering to the subject an effective amount of EGCG, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or derivative thereof; and   (b) administering to the subject an effective amount of one or more of a purine nucleoside analog, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or derivative thereof, and an alkylating agent, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or derivative thereof
