Abstract

A system has one or more gaming devices including gaming machines and other devices. At least one transaction reading device is coupled to the gaming devices and reads information associated with the monetary instruments associated with the gaming devices. A host computer is operatively coupled to the transaction reading device. A database is associated with the host computer and is configured to retrievably store the information associated with monetary instruments. A data display device is operatively coupled to the host computer and retrieves and displays a list of the monetary instruments in response to input from a user. The data display device can be associated with a wireless remote device, wired to the host computer or associated with the gaming device. The list of the monetary instruments includes information associated with each of the monetary instruments. The list of the monetary instruments can include information from selected gaming devices.

2 . A system in accordance with claim 1 , the plurality of input values including at least one of a date, a time, a gaming device location, a gaming device zone, a type of the monetary instrument, a currency denomination, and a number of credits.

3 . A system in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the at least one monetary instrument includes a currency bill, the processor programmed to generate a corresponding transaction record including a monetary value of the corresponding currency bill, a date and a time the corresponding currency bill was received.

4 . A system in accordance with claim 1 , the processor programmed to:
receive a signal indicative of a player credit transaction being initiated by a player via the at least one gaming device, the player credit transaction including an amount of bonus points being downloaded to a corresponding gaming device for play; and generate and store a transaction record associated with the received player credit transaction.

5 . A system in accordance with claim 1 , the processor programmed to receive a signal indicative of a unique player identifier and generate the transaction record including the associated unique player identifier.

6 . A system in accordance with claim 1 , the processor programmed to display the list of transaction records including a predetermined number of transaction records.

7 . A system in accordance with claim 1 , the monetary instrument including at least one of a plurality of types, including currency, tokens, cashless tickets, vouchers, magnet strip cards, player tracking cards, transfer of funds cards, credit cards, ATM cards and the like, input from a keypad, input from a touchscreen, and wired or wireless memory devices.

         8 . A system, comprising:
a plurality of gaming devices, each gaming device including a display device and being configured to receive monetary instruments; and a host computer coupled in communication with each of the plurality of gaming devices, the host computer including a processor and a database, the processor programmed to: receive a signal indicative of a monetary instrument transaction being initiated with at least one of the gaming devices, the monetary instrument transaction including at least one monetary instrument; generate a transaction record associated with the monetary instrument transaction and store the transaction record in the database, the transaction record including a plurality of input values; receive a request from a user to display transaction records, the request including a requested input value; determine each of the transaction records being stored in the database having an input value matching the requested input value; and display a list of transaction records on the display device, the list including each transaction record having an associated input value matching the requested input value.

9 . A system in accordance with claim 8 , the plurality of input values including at least one of a date, a time, a gaming device location, a gaming device zone, a type of the monetary instrument, a currency denomination, and a number of credits.

10 . A system in accordance with claim 8 , wherein the monetary instrument includes a currency bill, the processor programmed to generate a corresponding transaction record including a monetary value of the corresponding currency bill, a date and a time the corresponding currency bill was received.

11 . A system in accordance with claim 8 , the processor programmed to:
receive a signal indicative of a player credit transaction being initiated by a player via the at least one gaming device, the player credit transaction including an amount of bonus points being downloaded to the corresponding gaming device for play; and generate and store a transaction record associated with the received player credit transaction.

12 . A system in accordance with claim 8 , the processor programmed to receive a signal indicative of a unique player identifier and generate the transaction record including the associated unique player identifier.

13 . A system in accordance with claim 8 , the processor programmed to display the list of transaction records including a predetermined number of transaction records.

14 . A system in accordance with claim 8 , the monetary instrument including at least one of a plurality of types, including currency, tokens, cashless tickets, vouchers, magnet strip cards, player tracking cards, transfer of funds cards, credit cards, ATM cards and the like, input from a keypad, input from a touchscreen, and wired or wireless memory devices.
