Various devices for reconditioning golf tees are disclosed herein.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A device for reconditioning a golf tee, the device comprising:
a body having a bore extending into the body, wherein a portion of the bore is sized only to accommodate a golf tee, and wherein the bore terminates at a blunt conical point; an opening positioned along a portion of the blunt conical point; and a cutting member positioned over a portion of the opening, wherein the cutting member is coupled to an outer surface of the body, and wherein the cutting member is offset from a centerline of the bore.

2 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising a motor operably coupled to the cutting member causing the cutting member to rotate.

3 . The device of claim 2 , further comprising a microprocessor operably coupled to the motor.

4 . The device of claim 3 , further comprising a switch operably coupled to the motor and the microprocessor, wherein the switch is located within the bore of the device.

5 . The device of claim 3 , further comprising a battery operably coupled to the motor and the microprocessor.

6 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the bore includes a first portion adjacent to an opening of the bore, and a second portion adjacent to the blunt conical point, wherein the first portion has a larger diameter than the second portion.

7 . A device for reconditioning a golf tee, the device comprising:
an inner body having a bore, wherein a portion of the bore is sized only to accommodate an outer diameter of a golf tee, and wherein the bore terminates at a blunt conical point having an opening positioned along a portion of the blunt conical point; a blade coupled to an outer portion of the inner body, wherein the blade is positioned along the blunt conical point, and wherein the blade is offset from a centerline of the bore; and an outer housing having an elongated body, a recess extending into the elongated body, and an aperture, wherein the location of the aperture corresponds to the opening on the inner body, wherein the inner body is fitted into the outer housing and the blade is secured between the inner body and the outer housing.

8 . The device of claim 7 , wherein a portion of the recess has a hexagonal-shaped bore.

9 . The device of claim 7 , wherein a portion of an outer surface of the inner body is hexagonal-shaped.

10 . The device of claim 7 , further comprising a motor operably coupled to the cutting member causing the cutting member to rotate.

11 . The device of claim 10 , further comprising a microprocessor operably coupled to the motor.

12 . The device of claim 11 , further comprising a switch operably coupled to the microprocessor, wherein the switch is located within the bore of the device.

13 . The device of claim 11 , further comprising a battery operably coupled to the motor and the microprocessor.

14 . The device of claim 7 , wherein the bore includes a first portion adjacent to an opening of the bore, and a second portion adjacent to the blunt conical point, wherein the first portion has a larger diameter than the second portion.
