Novel compositions in petroleum jelly-free unguent form, in particular for topical application, contain a vitamin D compound and optionally an active agent of the family of steroidal anti-inflammatory agents.

A method for formulating a composition comprising at least one active phase containing at least one vitamin D compound and at least one non-active phase containing at least glyceryl behenate, wherein the method comprises a final step of mixing the phases at room temperature to obtain the composition.
