Electronic receipt system, electronic receipt management server, and program therefor

Abstract

According to one embodiment, an electronic receipt system includes an electronic receipt collective management unit, an electronic receipt transmission unit, and an electronic receipt display unit. The electronic receipt collective management unit manages electronic receipt information as digitized sales information related to in-store shopping in association with an first code for identifying a customer, and manages sales information, which is associated with a second code, from on-line shopping at a virtual store on a network as electronic receipt information by associating the second code with the first code. The electronic receipt transmission unit transmits the electronic receipt information associated with the first code to an information processing apparatus. The electronic receipt display unit displays the electronic receipt information transmitted to the information processing apparatus.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An electronic receipt system comprising:
 an electronic receipt collective management unit configured to manage electronic receipt information obtained by digitized sales information from in-store shopping in association with a first code for identifying a customer, and manage sales information, which is associated with a second code, from on-line shopping at a virtual store on a network, as the electronic receipt information by associating the second code with the first code; and   an electronic receipt transmission unit configured to transmit the electronic receipt information associated with the first code to an information processing apparatus associated with the first code, wherein   the electronic receipt transmission unit is further configured to transmit information to an electronic receipt display unit configured to display the electronic receipt information transmitted to the information processing apparatus by the electronic receipt transmission unit.   
     
     
         2 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the electronic receipt collective management unit is configured to manage sales information obtained from information on sales at the virtual store on a network, as the electronic receipt information.   
     
     
         3 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the electronic receipt display unit specifies whether the sales occurred at the in-store shopping or the on-line shopping in a list of the electronic receipt information.   
     
     
         4 . The system according to  claim 2 , wherein
 the electronic receipt collective management unit is configured to manage sales information obtained from information on sales at a physical store location, as the electronic receipt information.   
     
     
         5 . The system according to  claim 4 , wherein the electronic receipt collective management unit is configured to maintain purchase information for a customer sorted by the entity from which a product was purchased by the customer. 
     
     
         6 . The system according to  claim 5 , wherein the electronic receipt collective management unit is configured to maintain purchase information for a customer associated to a date a product was purchased by the customer. 
     
     
         7 . The system according to  claim 1 , further comprising a server on which the electronic receipt collective management unit is maintained. 
     
     
         8 . An electronic receipt management server comprising:
 a reception unit configured to receive electronic receipt information as digitized sales information;   an electronic receipt collective management unit configured to manage electronic receipts as digitized sales information of in-store shopping in association with an first code for identifying a customer, and for managing sales information, which is associated with a second code, of on-line shopping at a virtual store on a network, as an electronic receipt by associating the second code for identifying a customer with the first code; and   an electronic receipt transmission unit configured to transmit the electronic receipt information associated with the first code to an information processing apparatus associated with the first code.   
     
     
         9 . The server according to  claim 8 , wherein
 the electronic receipt collective management unit is configured to use sales information obtained from information on sales which originate from a virtual store to create the electronic receipt information.   
     
     
         10 . The server according to  claim 8 , further comprising a central processing unit, a temporary memory unit, and a storage unit. 
     
     
         11 . The server according to  claim 10 , wherein the electronic receipt collective management unit is stored in the storage unit. 
     
     
         12 . The server according to  claim 11 , wherein the electronic receipt maintained in the electronic receipt collective management unit includes a second code and at least one of a company code, a business type code, a store code, an identification of a point of sale terminal at which a sales transaction was consummated, a receipt number and product sales date. 
     
     
         13 . The server according to  claim 12 , wherein the electronic receipt information of multiple members is associated in the electronic receipt collective management unit by the store from which the members purchased goods or services. 
     
     
         14 . The server according to  claim 10 , wherein an information transmission program configured to enable transmission of electronic receipt information is stored in the storage unit. 
     
     
         15 . A method of controlling an electronic receipt management server, comprising:
 providing an electronic receipt collective management unit configured to manage electronic receipt information as digitized sales information from in-store shopping in association with an first code for identifying a customer, and to manage sales information associated with a second code from an on-line virtual store on a network, as electronic receipt information by associating the second code with the first code; and   transmitting the electronic receipt information associated with the first code to an address of an information processing apparatus associated with the first code.   
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 creating an electronic receipt from information entered by a consumer concerning a purchase from an on line virtual store.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , further comprising:
 providing a storage unit, and   storing the electronic receipt information in the storage unit.   
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 associating the electronic receipt information of more than one member to purchases from a single company.   
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 storing a second code and at least one of a company code, a business type code, a store code, an identification of a point of sale terminal at which a sales transaction was consummated, a receipt number, and product sales date.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 storing an information transmission program configured to enable transmission of electronic receipt information associated with the first code to an address of an information processing apparatus associated with the first code.
