Systems and methods for facilitating secure access
Abstract
Various embodiments are directed to methods for generating proxy account data for a financial account and authorizing payment from an account of a customer based on proxy account data. Example methods may comprise selecting a serial number for a first customer and storing an association between the serial number and an account of the first customer. The methods may further comprise encrypting the serial number and consolidating the encrypted serial number with checkable data. An association between the encrypted serial number and the checkable data may be stored and the consolidated encrypted serial number and checkable data may be encrypted to generate proxy account data.

receiving the second proxy account data;
decrypting the second proxy account data to generate the encrypted serial number of the second proxy account data and the checkable data of the second proxy account data;
verifying the checkable data of the second proxy account data by using the stored association between the checkable data and the encrypted serial number; and
transmitting the encrypted serial number of the second proxy account data to the first computer system.
27 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the transaction is a financial transaction and the account of the first user is a financial account.
28 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the first computer system and the second computer system are at different physical locations.
29 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the first computer system and the second computer system comprise at least one characteristic selected from the group consisting of at least one processor in common and at least one memory in common.
30 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the first computer system and the second computer system are separated by at least one firewall.
31 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the transmitting the first proxy account data to the first user comprises at least one action selected from the group consisting of:
displaying the first proxy account data on a screen to be viewed by the first user; mailing a printed copy of the first proxy account data to the first user; and e-mailing the first proxy account data to the first user.
32 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the transmitting the first proxy account data to the first user comprises transmitting the first proxy account data to a mobile device associated with the first user.
33 . The system of claim 32 , wherein the mobile device is programmed to communicate the first proxy account data to a vendor using at least one action selected from the group consisting of:
wirelessly transmitting the first proxy account data to the vendor; and generating an image of the first proxy account data readable by the vendor.
34 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the first proxy account data is in a form selected from the group consisting of an alphanumeric form and a symbolic form.
35 . The system of claim 26 , wherein encrypting the serial number comprises utilizing an encryption selected from the group consisting of a symmetric encryption and an asymmetric encryption.
36 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the checkable data comprises an indication of the account.
37 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the checkable data comprises an indication of a timestamp.
38 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the memory of the first computer system further comprises instructions thereon that when executed by the at least one processor cause the system to execute a method comprising associating at least one use restriction with the serial number.
39 . The system of claim 26 , wherein the generating the first proxy account data for the account is in response to a request for the proxy account data from the first user.
40 . A computer-implemented method for generating proxy account data to authorize a transaction, the method comprising:
for a first user, selecting a serial number by a first computer system, wherein the first computer system comprises at least one processor and operatively associated memory; storing, by the first computer system, an association between the serial number and an account of the first user; encrypting, by the first computer system, the serial number to generate an encrypted serial number; transmitting, by the first computer system, the encrypted serial number to a second computer system; consolidating, by the second computer system, the encrypted serial number with checkable data; storing, by the second computer system, an association between the encrypted serial number and the checkable data; generating, by the second computer system, first proxy account data, wherein the generating comprises encrypting the consolidated encrypted serial number and checkable data; after the encrypting of the consolidated encrypted serial number and checkable data, transmitting by the second computer system the first proxy account data to the first user; receiving by the second computer system, second proxy account data; decrypting the second proxy account data by the second computer system to generate the an encrypted serial number of the second proxy account data and checkable data of the second proxy account data; verifying, by the second computer system, the checkable data of the second proxy account data by using the stored association between the checkable data and the encrypted serial number; transmitting, by the second computer system, the encrypted serial number of the second proxy account data to the first computer system; decrypting, by the first computer system, the encrypted serial number of the second proxy account data to generate a decrypted serial number of the second proxy account data; verifying, by the first computer system, the decrypted serial number of the second proxy account data based on the stored association between the serial number and the account of the first user; and authorizing the transaction, by the first computer system.
41 . A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions thereon that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to execute a method comprising:
for a first user, selecting a serial number by a first computer system, wherein the first computer system comprises at least one processor and operatively associated memory; storing, by the first computer system, an association between the serial number and an account of the first user; encrypting, by the first computer system, the serial number to generate an encrypted serial number; transmitting, by the first computer system, the encrypted serial number to a second computer system; consolidating, by the second computer system, the encrypted serial number with checkable data; storing, by the second computer system, an association between the encrypted serial number and the checkable data; generating, by the second computer system, first proxy account data, wherein the generating comprises encrypting the consolidated encrypted serial number and checkable data; after the encrypting of the consolidated encrypted serial number and checkable data, transmitting by the second computer system the first proxy account data to the first user; receiving by the second computer system, second proxy account data; decrypting the second proxy account data by the second computer system to generate the an encrypted serial number of the second proxy account data and checkable data of the second proxy account data; verifying, by the second computer system, the checkable data of the second proxy account data by using the stored association between the checkable data and the encrypted serial number; transmitting, by the second computer system, the encrypted serial number of the second proxy account data to the first computer system; decrypting, by the first computer system, the encrypted serial number of the second proxy account data to generate a decrypted serial number of the second proxy account data; verifying, by the first computer system, the decrypted serial number of the second proxy account data based on the stored association between the serial number and the account of the first user; and authorizing the transaction, by the first computer system.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
