Systems and Methods Relating To Credit

Abstract

The present invention includes an electronic platform where business credit can be created, affiliated, transmitted, redeemed and processed, etc. in connection with multiple redeemers. The present invention includes an electronic platform where business credit can be purchased, sold and/or gifted in connection with multiple redeemers. The present invention also includes an electronic platform where business credit can be accounted for, monitored, and organized, etc. Furthermore, the present invention provides the ability to redeem business credit (including store credit) in connection with multiple redemptions through multiple redeemers, via a single redemption apparatus (e.g., a smart card).

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A system for the provision of business credit, comprising a system provider computer system hosting an electronic platform (a) configured to receive from a purchaser computer system terms of a potential business credit including (i) data identifying the initial redemption value of such business credit, and (ii) data identifying a vendor with which the business credit can be exclusively redeemed, (b) configured to transmit the business credit to a presenter designated by the purchaser, (c) configured to receive data transmitted by a redeemer in connection with a payment transaction involving the purchase of one or more of a particular vendor's products by the presenter, including data identifying the redeemer, data identifying the vendor and data identifying the presenter and (d) configured to process the redemption of the business credit with at least one redeemer within a payment system encompassing multiple unaffiliated redeemers. 
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1  wherein a service fee is charged to the purchaser. 
     
     
         3 . A system for the provision of business credit, comprising a system provider computer system hosting an electronic platform (a) configured to receive from a purchaser computer system data identifying one or more specific products of a vendor with which a business credit can be redeemed to the exclusion of all other products, (b) a platform provided over an electronic network for the specification of a redemption value for the business credit by a purchaser, (c) a platform for communicating the identification of one or more redeemers within a payment system with which the business credit can be redeemed, to the exclusion of other redeemers within the payment system over an electronic network, (d) a platform provided to the purchaser for choosing a recipient presenter of the business credit, (e) transmitting the business credit to such presenter and (f) processing the business credit redemption in connection with one or more payment transactions with one or more unaffiliated redeemers. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 3  wherein a service fee is charged to the purchaser.
