Identification of merchandise to be subsequently identified and delivered by a merchandise provider

Abstract

Users may identify on an interactive network merchandise that they desire and merchandise providers may access the identified merchandise from time to time so as to provide merchandise that matches the identified merchandise. In one embodiment, merchandise providers may access merchandise requests from time to time and provide the requested merchandise, even if the merchandise had not been available at the time the request was initially posted. Prior to delivery of the merchandise the parties, if desired, may negotiate when and how delivery will occur, what the cost of the merchandise is and the responsibilities of each of the parties pertaining to the merchandise. The requests may be stored local to the user or at one or more central sites.

         19 . A method of providing to a user information pertaining to merchandise available at geographically diverse locations, said method comprising:
 accessing, by a system associated with an enterprise and initiated by the system, an identity of the enterprise, said identity being under control of the user and stored at a device under control of said user, said enterprise having a plurality of geographically diverse locations;   determining a current location of said device under control of said user; and   accessing, by the system, merchandise information specific to an enterprise location at said current location of said device under control of said user.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19  further including the step of:
 sending, from said system to said device, said merchandise information specific to said enterprise location at said current location of said device under control of said user. 
 
     
     
         21 . The method of  claim 20  wherein said sending step comprises sending an e-mail message specific to said user. 
     
     
         22 . The method of  claim 20  wherein said sending step includes sending, from the system, a broadcast message to multiple users within said current location.

         29 . A method of providing to a user geographic-specific information available at geographically diverse locations, the method comprising:
 accessing, by a system associated with an enterprise and initiated by the system, an identity of the enterprise, wherein the identity is under control of the user and stored at a device under control of the user, the enterprise having a plurality of geographically diverse locations;   determining a current location of the device under control of the user; and   providing, from the system to the device, geographic-specific information specific to an enterprise location associated with the current location of the device.   
     
     
         30 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein the geographic-specific information comprises information associated with a physical location of the enterprise nearest the current location of the user. 
     
     
         31 . The method of  claim 30 , wherein the information associated with the physical location of the enterprise comprises at least one of an address of the physical location and a phone number of the physical location. 
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein the geographic-specific information comprises geographic-specific entertainment information. 
     
     
         33 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein the geographic-specific information comprises information related to past events. 
     
     
         34 . A system, comprising:
 a communication interface configurable to communicate with a user device associated with a user; and   a processor coupled to the communication interface and configured to:
 initiate access, using the communication interface, to an identity of an enterprise, wherein the identity is under control of the user and stored at the user device under control of the user, the enterprise having a plurality of geographically diverse locations; 
 determine a current location of the user device; and 
 provide to the user device, using the communication interface, geographic-specific information specific to an enterprise location associated with the current location of the user device. 
   
     
     
         35 . The system of  claim 34 , wherein the geographic-specific information comprises information associated with a physical location of the enterprise nearest the current location of the user device. 
     
     
         36 . The system of  claim 35 , wherein the information associated with the physical location of the enterprise comprises at least one of an address of the physical location and a phone number of the physical location. 
     
     
         37 . The system of  claim 34 , wherein the geographic-specific information comprises geographic-specific entertainment information associated with the current location of the user device. 
     
     
         38 . The system of  claim 34 , wherein the geographic-specific information comprises information related to past events associated with the current location of the user device. 
     
     
         39 . The system of  claim 34 , wherein the user is a prospective user. 
     
     
         40 . The system of  claim 34 , wherein the user is a prospective buyer.
