Fibrous cores

Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to packaged article comprising a rolled sheet product wound about a fibrous core. The fibrous core comprises a longitudinal core axis, an outer surface, an inner surface, a first open end, and a second open end. The first open end is opposite the second open end and defines a length therebetween. The inner surface comprises indicia. The packaged article also comprises a packaging material substantially surrounding the rolled sheet product and at least one viewable face. The indicia disposed on the inner surface of the fibrous core is visible through the at least one viewable face.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A packaged article comprising:
 a rolled sheet product wound about a fibrous core, the fibrous core comprising a longitudinal core axis, an outer surface, and an inner surface, a first open end, a second open end, wherein the first open end is opposite the second open end and defines a length therebetween, and wherein the inner surface comprises indicia; and   a packaging material substantially surrounding the rolled sheet product, wherein the packaging material comprises at least one viewable face,   wherein the indicia disposed on the inner surface of the fibrous core is visible through the at least one viewable face.   
     
     
         2 . The package of  claim 1 , wherein the packaging material comprises at least one of a plastic material and a cardboard material. 
     
     
         3 . The package of  claim 1 , wherein the indicia comprises at least one of a letter, a word, and a symbol. 
     
     
         4 . The package of  claim 1 , wherein the fibrous core is substantially covered with a colored dye and is viewable through the viewable face of the packaging material. 
     
     
         5 . The package of  claim 1 , wherein the longitudinal core axis of the fibrous core is substantially parallel to a horizontal surface and the indicia on the inner surface is positioned at a reading orientation. 
     
     
         6 . The package of  claim 1 , wherein the longitudinal core axis of the fibrous core is substantially perpendicular to a horizontal surface and the indicia on the inner surface is positioned at a reading orientation. 
     
     
         7 . The package of  claim 1 , wherein the outer surface of the fibrous core comprises indicia. 
     
     
         8 . The package of  claim 1 , wherein the indicia comprises at least one of a brand name and a coupon. 
     
     
         9 . The package of  claim 1 , wherein the rolled sheet product comprises at least one of toilet tissue and paper towel. 
     
     
         10 . The package of  claim 1 , further comprising one or more indicia disposed on the package material, wherein the one or more indicia disposed on the package material is similar to the indicia disposed on the inner surface of the fibrous core. 
     
     
         11 . The package of  claim 1 , further comprising one or more indicia disposed on the package material, and wherein the rolled sheet product comprises one or more indicia, and wherein at least the one or more indicia disposed on the package material and the one or more indicia disposed on the rolled sheet product is similar to the indicia disposed on the inner surface of the fibrous core. 
     
     
         12 . A packaged article comprising:
 a rolled sheet product wound about a fibrous core, the fibrous core comprising a longitudinal core axis, an outer surface, an inner surface, a first open end, and a second open end, wherein the first open end is opposite the second open end and defines a length therebetween, and wherein the inner surface comprises indicia, and wherein the longitudinal core axis is substantially parallel to a substantially horizontal surface upon which the packaged article rests; and   a packaging material substantially surrounding the rolled sheet product wound about the fibrous core, wherein the packaging material comprises at least one viewable face and one or more indicia,   
       wherein the at least one viewable face is at least one of a transparent portion and an open portion, and
 wherein the indicia disposed on the inner surface of the fibrous core is visible through the at least one viewable face. 
 
     
     
         13 . The package of  claim 12 , wherein the packaging material comprises at least one of a plastic and a cardboard. 
     
     
         14 . The package of  claim 12 , wherein the fibrous core is substantially covered with a colored dye and is viewable through the viewable face of the packaging material. 
     
     
         15 . The package of  claim 12 , wherein the indicia on the inner surface is positioned at a reading orientation. 
     
     
         16 . The package of  claim 12 , wherein the outer surface of the fibrous core comprises indicia. 
     
     
         17 . The package of  claim 12 , wherein the indicia comprises at least one of a brand name, a coupon, and a logo. 
     
     
         18 . The package of  claim 12 , wherein the rolled sheet product comprises at least one of toilet tissue and paper towel. 
     
     
         19 . The package of  claim 12 , wherein the one or more indicia disposed on the package material is similar to the indicia disposed on the inner surface of the fibrous core. 
     
     
         20 . The package of  claim 16 , wherein the rolled sheet product comprises one or more indicia, and wherein the one or more indicia disposed on the rolled sheet product is similar to the indicia disposed on at least one of the inner surface and outer surface of the fibrous core and the one or more indicia disposed on the package material.
