An oxidizer generating apparatus comprising a cylindrical housing and an electrode assembly attached at one end of the housing comprising at least three vertically disposed electrodes, the electrodes being spaced apart so as to define a water flow path between them, the electrodes comprising titanium outer electrodes and at least one inner diamond electrode

1 . An oxidizer generating apparatus comprising:
a housing sized to fit within a central opening of a portable spa filter; and an electrode assembly attached at one end of the housing comprising a plurality of vertically disposed electrodes, the electrodes being spaced apart so as to define a water flow path between them.
2 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said housing is cylindrical.
3 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said electrodes are configured to interact with fluid flowing through said housing to generate one or more hydroxyl radicals.
4 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said electrodes are configured to interact with fluid flowing through said housing to generate a plurality of hydroxyl radicals.
5 . The apparatus of claim 2 wherein said housing is 1.3 inches in diameter and six inches in length.
6 . An apparatus comprising:
a spa or tub having a filter having a central opening therein; a chlorinator positioned in said central opening comprising a housing and a plurality of electrodes positioned within said housing and configured to enable spa water to pass therethrough while generating one or more hydroxyl radicals to remove impurities from the spa water.
7 . The apparatus of claim 5 wherein said chlorinator is suspended in said opening by an electrical cable.
8 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said housing is suspended in said opening by an electrical cable.
9 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said chlorinator generates a plurality of hydroxyl radicals.
10 . The apparatus of claim 5 wherein said housing is a cylindrical housing; and wherein said plurality of electrodes comprise:
an electrode assembly attached at one end of the housing comprising at least three vertically disposed electrodes, the electrodes being spaced apart so as to define a water flow path between them.
11 . The apparatus of claim 1 wherein said housing is a cylindrical housing; and wherein said plurality of electrodes comprise:
an electrode assembly attached at one end of the housing comprising at least three vertically disposed electrodes, the electrodes being spaced apart so as to define a water flow path between them.
12 . The apparatus of claim 6 wherein said cylindrical housing is 1.3 inches in diameter and six inches in length.
13 . An oxidizer generating apparatus comprising:
a cylindrical housing sized to fit within a filter standpipe; and an electrode assembly attached at one end of the housing comprising a plurality of vertically disposed electrodes, the electrodes being spaced apart so as to define a water flow path between them.
14 . The apparatus of claim 13 wherein said electrodes are configured to interact with fluid flowing through said housing to generate one or more hydroxyl radicals.
15 . The apparatus of claim 13 wherein said electrodes are configured to interact with fluid flowing through said housing to generate a plurality of hydroxyl radicals.
16 . The apparatus of claim 13 wherein said cylindrical housing is 1.3 inches in diameter and six inches in length.
17 . An apparatus comprising:
a spa filter having a central opening therein; a housing sized to fit within the central opening of the spa filter; and an electrode assembly attached at one end of the housing comprising a plurality of vertically disposed electrodes, the electrodes being spaced apart so as to define a water flow path between them.
18 . The oxidizer generating apparatus of claim 17 where said housing is cylindrical.
19 . The oxidizer generating apparatus of claim 17 wherein said electrodes are configured to interact with fluid flowing through said housing to generate one or more hydroxyl radicals.
20 . The oxidizer generating apparatus of claim 18 wherein said cylindrical housing is 1.3 inches in diameter and six inches in length.
21 . The oxidizer generating apparatus of claim 17 wherein said housing is suspended in said opening by an electrical cable.
22 . The oxidizer generating apparatus of claim 20 wherein said housing is suspended in said opening by an electrical cable.
