Abstract
A mobile refrigeration cabinet that includes a refrigerated section, a non-refrigerated section that has an aperture in a side thereof, and an opening between the refrigerated and non-refrigerated section. The aperture allows access to the non-refrigerated section. The cabinet may include a movable tray disposed in the non-refrigerated section that is movable through the aperture, and a refrigeration system removably mounted on the movable tray. A biasing system is configured to engage the movable tray so as to bias the refrigeration system towards the opening between the refrigerated section and the non-refrigerated section such that a portion of the refrigeration system sealingly engages the opening.

1 . A mobile refrigeration cabinet, comprising:
a refrigerated section; a non-refrigerated section having an aperture in a side thereof for accessing the non-refrigerated section; an opening between the refrigerated section and the non-refrigerated section; a movable tray disposed in the non-refrigerated section and movable through the aperture; a refrigeration system removably mounted on the movable tray; and a biasing system configured to engage the movable tray so as to bias the refrigeration system towards the opening between the refrigerated section and the non-refrigerated section such that a portion of the refrigeration system sealingly engages the opening.
2 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 1 ,
wherein the biasing system comprises a plurality of biasing mechanisms, and wherein each of the plurality of biasing mechanisms is supported relative to a base of the non-refrigerated section and is a vibration damping element that dampens the transfer of vibrations from the base to the refrigeration system mounted on the movable tray.
3 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 2 , wherein each of the plurality of vibration damping elements comprises an elastic portion.
4 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 2 , wherein each of the plurality of vibration damping elements comprises a swivel pad configured to engage a surface of the movable tray.
5 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 1 , wherein the biasing system comprises a plurality of springs supported relative to a base of the non-refrigerated section.
6 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a compression mechanism configured to compress the biasing system so as to move the movable tray from an engaged position to a disengaged position, wherein the movable tray is closer to the refrigerated section in the engaged position than in the disengaged position.
7 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 6 , wherein the compression mechanism comprises a cam connected to a handle, and movement of the handle moves the movable tray between the engaged and disengaged positions.
8 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 6 , wherein the compression mechanism comprises a cam connected to a handle and a support member, and movement of the handle causes the cam to adjust the position of the support member relative to the biasing mechanisms so as to compress the plurality of biasing mechanisms.
9 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 6 , further comprising a mounting mechanism configured to support the movable tray in the disengaged position.
10 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a screw member, wherein the biasing system comprises a plurality of wedge-shaped members constructed to receive the screw member, and operation of the screw member adjusts a relative position between the plurality of wedge-shaped members to bias the refrigeration system toward the opening.
11 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a screw member, wherein the biasing system comprises a plurality of wedge-shaped members constructed to receive the screw member and an intermediary structure, wherein operation of the screw member adjusts a relative position between the plurality of wedge-shaped members such that the intermediary structure biases the refrigeration system toward the opening.
12 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 11 , wherein the intermediary structure comprises a vibration damping element.
13 . A mobile refrigeration cabinet, comprising:
a refrigerated section; a non-refrigerated section having an aperture that provides access to the non-refrigerated section; an opening between the refrigerated section and the non-refrigerated section; a movable tray disposed in the non-refrigerated section and movable in a substantially horizontal direction through the aperture of the non-refrigerated section; a refrigeration unit removably mounted on the movable tray; and a plurality of vibration damping elements for supporting the movable tray relative to a base of the non-refrigerated section, wherein the vibration damping elements reduce the transmission of vibrations from the base to the refrigeration unit removably mounted on the movable tray.
14 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 13 , wherein each of the plurality of vibration damping elements comprises an elastic portion.
15 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 14 , wherein each of the plurality of vibration damping elements comprises a swivel pad configured to engage a surface of the movable tray.
16 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 13 , wherein each of the plurality of vibration damping elements comprises a spring.
17 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 13 , further comprising:
a compression mechanism configured to compress the plurality of vibration damping elements so as to move the movable tray from an engaged position to a disengaged position, wherein the movable tray is closer to the refrigerated section in the engaged position than in the disengaged position.
18 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 17 , wherein the compression mechanism comprises a cam connected to a handle, and movement of the handle moves the movable tray between the engaged position and the disengaged position.
19 . The mobile refrigeration cabinet according to claim 17 , further comprising a mounting mechanism configured to support the movable tray in the disengaged position.
20 . A mobile refrigeration cabinet, comprising:
a refrigerated section; a non-refrigerated section; an opening between the refrigerated section and the non-refrigerated section; a battery; a refrigeration system comprising a fan configured to circulate air through the opening into the refrigerated section; and a control unit configured to control the refrigeration system to operate in a battery mode, in which the battery powers the fan which circulates unrefrigerated air in the refrigerated section, and a non-battery mode in which the refrigeration system receives electrical power from an external source and produces refrigerated air which is provided to the refrigerated section by the fan.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
