Methods, systems, and media for generating sentimental information associated with media content
Abstract
In accordance with some embodiments, a method for generating sentimental information associated with media content is provided, the method comprising: receiving user input data corresponding to a user; identifying a portion of the media content item based on the user input data; determining a sentiment based on the user input data, wherein the sentiment is one of a positive sentiment which indicates that the media content item was liked by the user or a negative sentiment which indicates that the media content item was disliked by the user; determining an amount of the sentiment based on the user input data; associating the amount of the sentiment with the portion of the media content item; and generating, for the media content item, sentimental information that indicates the amount of the sentiment associated with at least one portion of the media content item.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method for generating sentimental information associated with media content, the method comprising:
receiving user input data corresponding to a user, wherein the user input data comprises a sentimental identifier associated with a sentiment input, an indication of an amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input, and a media identifier that identifies a media content item; identifying a portion of the media content item based on the user input data; determining a sentiment based on the sentimental identifier, wherein the sentiment is one of a positive sentiment which indicates that the media content item was liked by the user or a negative sentiment which indicates that the media content item was disliked by the user; determining, using a hardware processor, an amount of the sentiment based on the indication of the amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input; associating the amount of the sentiment with the portion of the media content item; and generating, for the media content item, sentimental information that indicates the amount of the sentiment associated with at least one portion of the media content item.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
identifying an object in the portion of the media content item; and associating the amount of the sentiment with the identified object.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
identifying a plurality of portions of the media content item associated with the sentiment based on the user input data; identifying an object included in the plurality of portions of the media content item; and associating the amount of the sentiment with the identified object.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the sentimental information comprises a video that is generated by combining the plurality of portions of the media content item.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
determining a plurality of amounts of sentiment associated with a plurality of users; calculating an average amount of sentiment based on the plurality of amounts of sentiment; and associating the average amount of sentiment with the portion of the media content item.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication of the amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input corresponds to an average amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication of the amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input corresponds to a maximum amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user input data further comprises data indicative of a time corresponding to the portion of the media content item.
9 . A system for generating sentimental information associated with media content, the system comprising:
at least one hardware processor that is configured to:
receive user input data corresponding to a user, wherein the user input data comprises a sentimental identifier associated with a sentiment input, an indication of an amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input, and a media identifier that identifies a media content item;
identify a portion of the media content item based on the user input data;
determine a sentiment based on the sentimental identifier, wherein the sentiment is one of a positive sentiment which indicates that the media content item was liked by the user or a negative sentiment which indicates that the media content item was disliked by the user;
determine an amount of the sentiment based on the indication of the amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input;
associate the amount of the sentiment with the portion of the media content item; and
generate, for the media content item, sentimental information that indicates the amount of the sentiment associated with at least one portion of the media content item.
10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the hardware processor is further configured to:
identify an object in the portion of the media content item; and associate the amount of the sentiment with the identified object.
11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the hardware processor is further configured to:
identify a plurality of portions of the media content item associated with the sentiment based on the user input data; identify an object included in the plurality of portions of the media content item; and associate the amount of the sentiment with the identified object.
12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the sentimental information comprises a video that is generated by combining the plurality of portions of the media content item.
13 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the hardware processor is further configured to:
determine a plurality of amounts of sentiment associated with a plurality of users; calculate an average amount of sentiment based on the plurality of amounts of sentiment; and associate the average amount of sentiment with the portion of the media content item.
14 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the indication of the amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input corresponds to an average amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input.
15 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the indication of the amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input corresponds to a maximum amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input.
16 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the user input data further comprises data indicative of a time corresponding to the portion of the media content item.
17 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium containing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform a method for generating sentimental information associated with media content, the method comprising:
receiving user input data corresponding to a user, wherein the user input data comprises a sentimental identifier associated with a sentiment input, an indication of an amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input, and a media identifier that identifies a media content item; identifying a portion of the media content item based on the user input data; determining a sentiment based on the sentimental identifier, wherein the sentiment is one of a positive sentiment which indicates that the media content item was liked by the user or a negative sentiment which indicates that the media content item was disliked by the user; determining an amount of the sentiment based on the indication of the amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input; associating the amount of the sentiment with the portion of the media content item; and generating, for the media content item, sentimental information that indicates the amount of the sentiment associated with at least one portion of the media content item.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the method further comprises:
identifying an object in the portion of the media content item; and associating the amount of the sentiment with the identified object.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the method further comprises:
identifying a plurality of portions of the media content item associated with the sentiment based on the user input data; identifying an object included in the plurality of portions of the media content item; and associating the amount of the sentiment with the identified object.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the sentimental information comprises a video that is generated by combining the plurality of portions of the media content item.
21 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the method further comprises:
determining a plurality of amounts of sentiment associated with a plurality of users; calculating an average amount of sentiment based on the plurality of amounts of sentiment; and associating the average amount of sentiment with the portion of the media content item.
22 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the indication of the amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input corresponds to an average amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input.
23 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the indication of the amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input corresponds to a maximum amount of pressure applied to the sentiment input.
