Abstract

A push-pass technique system and method in accordance with the present invention for training soccer players having a frame along which is a track, that is formed into a semi-circle, raised on each end by graduating ramp, upon which slides a foot pedal that can be secured by four wheels on each side to the track and the frame. The foot pedal glides back and forth upon the horizontal plane and moves length-wise across the plane to a pre-determined length following the curvature of the ramp. The foot pedal will guide the player's foot into the proper horizontal position while training the player to execute the proper push-pass soccer technique and gain muscle memory.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

1 . A method of training a soccer player, comprising:
a soccer player placing a first foot in a foot pedal, the foot pedal being movable attached to a track and being oriented such that it is approximately perpendicular to the track; the soccer player moving a leg to move the foot pedal in the track so that the foot travels through a curved motion; wherein the track is curved such that the leg moves with pendulum-like motion with the foot traveling along the curved track.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the foot pedal is held in place in the track and the foot pedal has wheels that move along a frame that holds the track.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the soccer player placing a second foot in accordance with a position member that indicates a preferred position of the second foot.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the track is substantially symmetrical about a lowest height.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the foot pedal at a lowest height on the curved track has a distance to the ground that is not greater than a diameter of a soccer ball.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the foot pedal moves along a second curved track.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the first and second tracks are attached to a frame.

         8 . A method of training a soccer player in a push-pass technique, comprising:
 the soccer player placing a first foot on a foot pedal, wherein the foot pedal is movable attached to a track;   the soccer player moving a first leg attached to the first foot to move the foot pedal such that the first foot moves in a curved motion along the track and the first leg moves with pendulum-like motion;

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the foot pedal is sized and formed to receive only one of the soccer player's feet.

10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the foot pedal is configured to freely slide under a force applied by the first foot.

11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the foot pedal is movable attached to the track by a moving means.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the moving means is one or more wheels that turn along the track as the foot pedal is moved along the track.

13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the moving means is a sliding material that slides along the track as the food pedal is moved along the track.

14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the track has a lowest height at approximately a middle of the track.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the track is substantially symmetrical about the lowest height.

16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the lowest height is approximately three to six centimeters.

17 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising the soccer player orienting the first foot approximately perpendicular to the track.

18 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising the soccer player placing a second foot on a different surface from the first foot.

19 . The method of claim 18 , further comprising the soccer player orienting the second foot approximately parallel to the track.

20 . The method of claim 18 , further comprising the soccer player placing the second foot at approximately the same lengthwise location as a middle of the track.
