Window compatible electrical power device
Abstract
A device that supplies electrical current to various outdoor locations via through-hole areas of building structures, such as window frames, door openings, etc. which includes a flatten portion with a male electrical outlet plug coupled to one end and one or more female electrical outlet(s) coupled to the other end. The male electrical outlet plug and/or the one or more female electrical outlet(s) can be coupled to the flattened portion by an electrical cord. The flattened portion includes two or more flat electrical conductors. A further embodiment is built into the structure of a window or the structure of a window frame and provides an interior accessible male electrical outlet plug (or electrical cord) and an accessible exterior female electrical outlet that are coupled together by wiring that extends through the window or window frame and optionally through a tube.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An electrical device for providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building which comprises:
a flattened portion consisting of a plurality of flattened electrical conductors and a flexible electrically insulating material which encapsulates, insulates and protects the plurality of flattened electrical conductors while allowing the flattened portion to extend between a jamb/sill and sash of a fully closed window, the plurality of flattened electrical conductors each have an equal thickness; a length of electrical cord having a plurality of electrical conductors coupled to one end of the flattened portion with the plurality of electrical conductors of the electrical cord coupled to the plurality of electrical conductors of the flattened portion; a male electrical outlet plug on a free end of the electrical cord with the plurality of electrical conductors of the electrical cord coupled to the male electrical outlet plug; and at least one female electrical outlet coupled to an opposite end of the flattened portion with the plurality of electrical conductors of the flattened portion coupled to the at least one female electrical outlet.
2 . (canceled)
3 . An electrical device for providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one female electrical outlet is coupled to the opposite end of the flattened portion by means of another length of electrical cord.
4 . An electrical device for providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one female electrical outlet comprises more than one female electrical outlets.
5 . An electrical device for providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 3 , wherein the at least one female electrical outlet comprises more than one female electrical outlets each of which is coupled to the opposite end of the flattened portion by means of a separate length of electrical cord.
6 . An electrical device for providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of conductors of the flattened conductor portion comprises three electrical conductors.
7 - 9 . (canceled)
10 . A method of providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building which comprises:
providing an electrical device which includes:
a flattened portion comprising flattened electrical conductors;
a length of electrical cord coupled to one end of the flattened portion;
a male electrical outlet plug on a free end of the electrical cord; and
at least one female electrical outlet coupled to an opposite end of the flattened portion;
positioning the flattened portion of the electrical device in an opening in a building so that the length of electrical cord is within the interior of the building; fully closing the opening with a structure so that the flattened portion of the electrical device is position between the periphery of the opening and the structure that closes the opening; and plugging the male electrical outlet plug into an electrical outlet in the building.
11 . A method of providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 10 , wherein the opening comprises a window frame and the structure that closes the opening comprises a window.
12 . A method of providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 10 , wherein the at least one female electrical outlet is coupled to the opposite end of the flattened portion by means of another length of electrical cord.
13 . A method of providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 10 , wherein the at least one female electrical outlet comprises more than one female electrical outlets.
14 . A method of providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 12 , wherein the at least one female electrical outlet comprises more than one female electrical outlets each of which is coupled to the opposite end of the flattened portion by means of a separate length of electrical cord.
15 . A method of providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 10 , wherein the flattened conductor portion comprises three electrical conductors.
16 . An electrical assembly for providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building which comprises:
a tube that provided in the structure of an opening in a building so that an exterior end of the tube is accessible from outside the building and an interior end of the tube is accessible from within the building; a female electrical outlet unit that is secured within the tube adjacent the exterior end; and an electrical conductor that supplies electricity to the female electrical outlet.
17 . An electrical assembly for providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 16 , wherein the female electrical outlet unit is twisted locked within the tube.
18 . An electrical assembly for providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 17 , wherein the female electrical outlet is inserted into the tube from the interior end and twist locked within the tube.
19 . An electrical assembly for providing electrical power between the interior and exterior sides of an opening in a building according to claim 16 , further comprising a male electrical outlet plug provided within the tube adjacent the interior end.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
