Embellishment transfer delivery system
Abstract
An embellishment transfer delivery system (ETDS) uses an embellishment, such as glitter, and combines it into a transfer adhesive that is combined with a carrier sheet and finally transferred to a sticky substrate, such as a double sided tape. The result is the clean, particle-free, non-tacky, dry transfer of the embellishment to cover an object with precise, complete and detailed coverage. The ETDS is a clean and fully transferrable system of holding, containing and transferring glitter or other embellishments to a double sided tape that allows for detailed coverage and no residual mess or airborne particles. The embellishment is suspended in an adhesive which is then coated onto a pressure sensitive carrier sheet to create the ETDS. The embellishment transfers from the ETDS and bonds to the application in a way that allows for a clean, detailed finished product without any of the mess, stickiness or wait time traditional delivery systems would entail.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for transferring an embellishment onto a substrate, the method comprising:
applying the embellishment to an adhesive to form a locked embellishment layer; sandwiching the locked embellishment layer between a carrier sheet and a deadening agent layer; and applying the deadening agent layer to a sticky surface of the substrate to transfer the locked embellishment layer from the carrier sheet onto the substrate.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising applying a double sided tape to the substrate to form the sticky surface.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising cutting the double sided tape into desired shaped before applying the desired shaped onto the substrate.
4 . A combination and embellishment transfer delivery system and a sticky substance, the combination comprising:
a locked embellishment layer; a deadening agent layer attached to a first side of the locked embellishment layer; a carrier sheet attached to a second side of the locked embellishment layer by an adhesive layer other than said locked embellishment layer; and a sticky substance that receives said deadening agent layer on said sticky substance.
5 . A combination according to claim 4 , wherein, upon contacting said deadening agent layer, said sticky substance retains said deadening agent layer and said locked embellishment layer when said carrier sheet is removed from said locked embellishment layer.
6 . A combination according to claim 5 , further comprising a substrate attached to said sticky substance opposite said deadening agent layer and said locked embellishment layer.
7 . A combination according to claim 4 , wherein said sticky substance is double sided tape.
8 . A combination of an embellishment transfer delivery system and a sticky substance for applying onto a substrate, the combination comprising:
an embellishment transfer delivery system comprising: a locked embellishment layer; a deadening agent layer attached to a first side of said locked embellishment layer; and a carrier sheet attached to a second side of the locked embellishment layer; and a sticky substance, said sticky substance being fixable onto a substrate such that said sticky substance is available to receive thereon said deadening agent layer of said embellishment transfer delivery system, wherein a layered arrangement of said deadening agent on said locked embellishment layer adheres to said sticky substance to a greater extent than said layered arrangement of said deadening agent on said locked embellishment layer adheres to said carrier sheet, and wherein a layered arrangement of said deadening agent on said locked embellishment layer adheres to said carrier sheet to a greater extent than said layered arrangement of said deadening agent on said locked embellishment layer adheres to the substrate.
9 . A combination according to claim 8 , wherein said sticky substance is fixable onto the substrate in a selectable pattern.
10 . A combination according to claim 8 , wherein said sticky substance is double sided tape.
11 . A combination according to claim 10 , wherein the locked embellishment layer comprises an embellishment disposed in an embellishment locking adhesive.
12 . A combination according to claim 11 , wherein, upon contacting said deadening agent layer with said sticky substance on a substrate, said carrier layer is removable to leave said embellishment locking adhesive and said deadening agent on said sticky substance in the shape of said selectable pattern.
13 . A system for applying embellishments to a substrate, the system comprising:
a sticky substance suited for affixing to the substrate in a pattern; an embellishment transfer apparatus comprising: a locked embellishment layer; a deadening agent layer attached to a first side of said locked embellishment layer; and a carrier sheet attached to a second side of the locked embellishment layer by an adhesive other than said locked embellishment layer, wherein a layered arrangement of said deadening agent on said locked embellishment layer adheres to said sticky substance to a greater extent than said layered arrangement of said deadening agent on said locked embellishment layer adheres to said carrier sheet, and wherein a layered arrangement of said deadening agent on said locked embellishment layer adheres to said carrier sheet to a greater extent than said layered arrangement of said deadening agent on said locked embellishment layer adheres to the substrate.
14 . The embellishment transfer delivery system of claim 13 , wherein the deadening agent layer is formed from at least one of a foil, talc, cornstarch or chalk.
15 . The embellishment transfer delivery system of claim 13 , wherein the locked embellishment layer includes an embellishment disposed in an embellishment locking adhesive.
16 . The embellishment transfer delivery system of claim 13 , wherein the embellishment is selected from the group consisting of glitter, sand, flock, flakes, confetti, paper and foil.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
