Abstract

The purpose of this device is to protect the gun and/or scope or gun without scope from rain and snow during the act of hunting. The ability of the hunter while in the act of hunting to remove the device from gun or scoped gun quickly and quietly before firing the gun. At the same time of removal of device from scope/gun to retain via attached lanyard.

         1 . A gun hood comprising:
 a) a sheet of material slit and stitched to form a hood for a gun, said hood sized to fit over and partially surround the gun, said hood comprised of a front, a rear, and a central portion, said rear portion forming a partial closure of said hood, said front portion forming a partial closure of said hood, said front portion having an open bottom portion, said rear portion having an open bottom portion, and said central portion having an open bottom portion;   
     
     
         2 . The gun hood of  claim 1  further comprising a lanyard for attaching said hood to a user. 
     
     
         3 . The gun hood of  claim 1  further comprising a lanyard for attaching said hood to said gun. 
     
     
         4 . The gun hood of  claim 1  further comprising straps for attaching said gun hood to said gun. 
     
     
         5 . The gun hood of  claim 1  wherein said material is waterproof.
