Camel hump oil - based herbal compositions and method of making the same

Abstract

The embodiments herein provide camel hump oil based herbal compositions and methods for preparing these compositions for treatment of a plurality of diseases such as dermatological conditions, musculoskeletal conditions and hair conditions. The embodiments herein also provide a method of extraction of camel hump oil from a camel hump and a method of de-odorizing the extracted camel hump. The camel hump-oil based herbal composition comprises camel hump oil, a herbal oil extract, a curing agent and a plurality of additives. The camel hump oil based composition is topically applied.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A camel hump oil-based herbal compositions comprises:
 a camel hump oil;   a herbal oil extract, wherein the herbal oil is an extract of a herb in a botanical oil, and wherein the herb is a pain relieving, anti-inflammatory or antioxidant herb, and wherein the herb is bay leaves and thyme;   a curing agent, wherein the curing agent is selected from a group consisting of a vitamin C, a botanical oil and an analgesic agent; and   a plurality of additives, and wherein the plurality of additives includes a petroleum jelly, a vitamin E, a fragrance and a preservative.   
     
     
         2 . The herbal composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the herbal composition is used in a dermatological condition, in a musculoskeletal condition and in hair treatment. 
     
     
         3 . The herbal composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the herbal composition for treatment of dermatological conditions comprises:
 a camel hump oil, wherein the camel hump oil is present with an amount of 70 weight percent to 80 weight percent;   a herbal oil extract of bay leaves and thyme, wherein the herbal oil extract of bay leaves and thyme is present in an amount of 10 weight percent to 15 weight percent;   a vitamin C, wherein the vitamin C is present with an amount of 5 weight percent to 10 weight percent;   a petroleum gel, wherein the petroleum gel is present with an amount of 10 weight percentage to 15 weight percentage;   a glycerin, wherein the glycerin is present with an amount of 5 weight percentage;   a plurality of additives, wherein the plurality of additives includes a vitamin E, a fragrance and a preservative, and wherein the herbal composition is in a form of an ointment.   
     
     
         4 . The herbal composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the herbal composition for treatment of musculoskeletal conditions comprises:
 a camel hump oil, wherein the camel hump oil is present in an amount of 80 weight percent to 90 weight percent;   a herbal oil extract of bay leaves and thyme, wherein the herbal oil extract of bay leaves and thyme is present in an amount of 5 weight percent and 10 weight percent;   an analgesic agent, wherein the analgesic agent is aspirin with a concentration of 10 wt % to 20 wt %;   a vitamin C, wherein the vitamin C is present in an amount of 5 weight percent to 10 weight percent;   a glycerin, wherein the glycerin is present in an amount of 5-weight percentage;   a plurality of additives, wherein the plurality of additives includes a petroleum jelly, a vitamin E, a fragrance and a preservative, and wherein the herbal composition is in a form of an ointment.   
     
     
         5 . The herbal composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the herbal composition for hair treatment comprises:
 a camel hump oil, wherein the camel hump oil is present in a concentration of 5-wt % to 15-wt %;   a botanical oil, wherein the botanical oil is selected from a group consisting of a grape seed oil, an avocado oil, an almond oil and a sesame oil and a combination thereof, and wherein the botanical oil is present in a concentration of 85 wt % to 95 wt %, and wherein the herbal composition is in a form of a liquid.   
     
     
         6 . The herbal composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the camel hump oil is deodorized camel hump oil. 
     
     
         7 . The herbal composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the botanical oil is selected from a group consisting of a grape seed oil, a canola oil, an olive oil, an almond oil, an avocado oil, a sesame oil and a combination thereof. 
     
     
         8 . The herbal composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the petroleum jelly is present in a concentration of 10% w/w. 
     
     
         9 . The herbal composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the vitamin E is present in an amount of 1000 IU/g. 
     
     
         10 . The herbal composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the herbal composition is topically applied. 
     
     
         11 . A method for synthesizing a herbal composition comprises:
 extracting a camel hump oil;   de-odorizing the camel hump oil; and   preparing a herbal oil extract;
 wherein the step of extracting the camel hump oil further comprises:
 mincing a camel hump; 
 adding the minced camel hump in a container filled with an amount of water, wherein the amount of water in the container is double an amount of the minced camel hump; 
 heating the water while stirring continuously till the water boils; 
 filtering the water through a cloth to obtain a filtrate, wherein the cloth is cheese cloth-lined strainer; 
 mixing the filtrate with an equal volume of cold water having a temperature of 3° C. to 4° C.; 
 collecting a hump oil, wherein the hump oil is formed as a solid slab on top of the water, 
 
 wherein the step of de-odorizing the camel hump oil comprises:
 mixing the camel hump oil with water containing a combination of ground dried bay leaves and ground dried thyme kept at a predetermined temperature to form a mixture, wherein the grounded dried bay leaves present in an amount of 1% to 2% w/v, and wherein the grounded dried thyme is present in an amount of 1% to 2% w/v, and wherein the predetermined temperature is 75° C. to 85° C.; 
 agitating the mixture for a predetermined amount of time, wherein the predetermined amount of time is 5 to 10 minutes; 
 filtering the mixture to obtain a filtrate; 
 cooling the filtrate at a temperature to solidify the hump oil, wherein the temperature is 3° C. to 4° C.; and 
 collecting the solidified camel hump oil, 
 
 wherein the step of preparation of herbal oil comprises:
 taking a botanical oil in a container, wherein the botanical oil is selected from a group consisting of a grape seed oil, a canola oil, an olive oil, an almond oil, an avocado oil, a sesame oil and a combination thereof; 
 adding a predetermined amount of ground dried thyme and a predetermined amount of ground and dried bay leaves, wherein the predetermined amount of ground dried thyme is 1 wt % to 5 wt %, and wherein the predetermined amount of ground and dried bay leaves is 1 wt % to 5 wt %; 
 placing the container on a large container containing a boiling water; 
 simmering and stirring a contents of the container for at least 10 min to 15 minutes; 
 cooling the contents of the container to room temperature; and 
 filtering the contents of the container. 
 
   
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the method further comprises a step of preparing a herbal composition for treatment of dermatological conditions comprising the steps of:
 preparing a solution A, wherein the solution A is prepared by a method comprising the steps of:
 dissolving a predetermined amount of a vitamin C in a purified distilled water, wherein the predetermined amount of Vitamin C is 5 wt % to 10 wt %; 
 adding a predetermined amount of a glycerine to form a mixture, wherein the predetermined amount of the glycerine is 5 wt %; 
 boiling the mixture to obtain a homogenous mixture, wherein the mixture is boiled until a temperature of the mixture reaches 50° C. to 60° C.; 
   preparing a solution B, wherein the solution B is prepared by a method comprising the steps of:
 adding a predetermined amount of the camel hump oil in a container, wherein the predetermined amount of the camel hump oil is 70 wt % to 80 wt %; 
 adding a predetermined amount of a herbal oil extract, wherein the predetermined amount of the herbal oil extract is 10 wt % to 15 wt %; 
 heating a contents of the container on a low flame till a temperature of the contents of the container reaches 50° C. to 60° C.; 
 removing the container from the low flame; 
 stirring the content of the container till a temperature of the contents of the container drops to 35° C. to 40° C.; 
 adding a predetermined amount of a white petroleum, wherein the predetermined amount of a white petroleum added is 10 wt % to 15 wt %, 
 mixing a content of the container in an electric mixer at a speed for a predetermined time, wherein the speed is 1100 rpm and wherein the predetermined time is 10 minutes; 
   adding a predetermined amount of the solution A to a predetermined amount of the solution B at a predetermined temperature to form a solution C, wherein the predetermined amount of the solution A is 10 wt % to 20 wt % and wherein the predetermined amount of the solution B is 80 wt % to 90 wt %, and wherein the predetermined temperature is 35° C. to 40° C.;   mixing the solution C in an electric mixer at a speed of 1300 rpm for 20 minutes to form an ointment;   adding a vitamin C to the ointment;   mixing the ointment after adding the vitamin C in an electric mixer at a speed of 1300 rpm for at least 10 minutes.   
     
     
         13 . The method according to  claim 12 , wherein the herbal composition is used for treatment of dermatological conditions, wherein the dermatological conditions includes eczema, psoriasis, dry skin, cracked heels and hyperkeratosis. 
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the method further comprises a step of preparing a herbal composition for treatment of musculoskeletal conditions comprising the steps of:
 preparing a solution D, wherein the solution D is prepared by a method comprising the steps of:
 dissolving a predetermined amount of a vitamin C in a purified distilled water, wherein the predetermined amount of Vitamin C is 5 wt % to 10 wt %; 
 adding a predetermined amount of a glycerin to form a mixture, wherein the predetermined amount of the glycerin is 5 wt %; 
 stirring the mixture to obtain a homogenous mixture; 
 preparing a solution of an analgesic agent, wherein the analgesic agent is aspirin and wherein the solution of the analgesic agent is prepared by dissolving a predetermined amount of the analgesic agent in ethanol followed by filtering; 
 adding the prepared solution of the analgesic agent to the prepared solution D; 
   preparing a solution E, wherein the solution E is prepared by a method comprising the steps of:
 adding a predetermined amount of the camel hump oil in a container, wherein the predetermined amount of the camel hump oil is 80 wt % to 90 wt %; 
 adding a predetermined amount of a herbal oil extract, wherein the predetermined amount of the herbal oil extract is 5 wt % to 10 wt %; 
 heating a contents of the container on a low flame till a temperature of the contents of the container reaches 50° C. to 60° C.; 
 removing the container from the low flame; 
 stirring the content of the container till a temperature of the contents of the container drops to 35° C. to 40° C.; 
 adding a predetermined amount of a white petroleum, wherein the predetermined amount of a white petroleum added is 10 wt % to 20 wt %, 
 mixing a content of the container in an electric mixer at a speed for a predetermined time, wherein the speed is 1100 rpm and wherein the predetermined time is 10 minutes; 
   adding a predetermined amount of the prepared solution D to a predetermined amount of a solution E at a predetermined temperature to form a solution F, wherein the predetermined amount of the prepared solution D is 5 wt % to 10 wt %, wherein the predetermined amount of a solution E is 80 wt % to 90 wt %, and wherein the predetermined temperature is 35° C. to 40° C.;   stirring the solution F in an electric mixer at a speed of 1300 rpm for 20 minutes to form an ointment;   adding a vitamin E to the ointment at a concentration of 10,000 IU/100 gr;   mixing the ointment after the addition of the vitamin E in an electric mixer at a speed of 1300 rpm for at least 10 minutes.   
     
     
         15 . The method according to  claim 14 , wherein the herbal composition is used for treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and pain, wherein the pain includes a pain caused by a physical injuries, a pain caused by medical conditions, a pain caused by a discomfort associated with the medical conditions, a lower back pain, a knee pain, a hip pain, a hand pain, a shoulder pain, and wherein the musculoskeletal conditions includes osteoarthritis, sore muscles, muscle cramps, muscle spasms. 
     
     
         16 . The method according to  claim 14 , wherein the herbal composition is topically applied to a plurality of domestic animals, wherein the plurality of domestic animals include a dog, a cat and a horse. 
     
     
         17 . The method according to  claim 11 , wherein the method further comprises a step of preparing a herbal composition for hair treatment comprising the steps of:
 adding a predetermined amount of the camel hump oil in a container, wherein the predetermined amount of the camel hump oil is 5 wt % to 15 wt %;   adding a predetermined amount of a botanical oil to the container, wherein the predetermined amount of the botanical oil is 85 wt % to 95 wt %;   heating a contents of the container on a low flame till a temperature of the contents of the container reaches 50° C. to 60° C.;   removing the container from the low flame;   stirring the contents of the container to obtain a uniform liquid blend.   
     
     
         18 . The method according to  claim 17 , wherein the botanical oil is selected from a group consisting of a grape seed oil, a canola oil, an olive oil, an almond oil, an avocado oil, a sesame oil and a combination thereof. 
     
     
         19 . The method according to  claim 17 , wherein the herbal composition for hair treatment promotes hair growth and reduces hair loss.
