Claims

Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to nested beverage containers and methods thereof. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention relate to improved beverage containers having interlocking features with adjacent containers, allowing for ease of transportation and lower cost of packaging. In one embodiment, a nestable beverage container comprises a voluminous body defined by a top portion and a bottom portion; a cap for temporarily sealing the nestable beverage container; and a connection means positioned beneath the sealing means; a bottom portion comprising a receiving means shaped to conform to the connection means of an adjacently nested bottle, the receiving means adapted to receive a cap when the cap is engaged with a threaded neck of a second nestable beverage bottle.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A nestable beverage bottle comprising:
 a voluminous body defined by a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion comprising:
 a single opening into a voluminous body; 
 a sealing means comprising a threaded neck adjacent to the single opening and an inversely threaded cap for temporarily sealing the nestable beverage container, the neck threaded on an exterior surface of the neck, the cap threaded on an interior surface of the cap; and 
 a connection means positioned beneath the sealing means; 
   a bottom portion comprising a receiving means shaped to conform to the connection means of an adjacently nested bottle, the receiving means adapted to receive a cap when the cap is engaged with a threaded neck of a second nestable beverage bottle.   
     
     
         2 . The nestable beverage bottle of  claim 1 , wherein a side wall of the voluminous body is substantially cylindrical. 
     
     
         3 . The nestable beverage bottle of  claim 2 , wherein the side wall of the voluminous body tapers in diameter proximate the top portion. 
     
     
         4 . The nestable beverage bottle of  claim 1 , wherein the connection means comprises a threaded section on an exterior surface of the top portion. 
     
     
         5 . The nestable beverage bottle of  claim 1 , wherein the receiving means has an inverse profile of at least the top portion. 
     
     
         6 . The nestable beverage bottle of  claim 1 , wherein the nestable beverage bottle comprises at least one of a polymer, a metal, a metal alloy, glass or combinations thereof. 
     
     
         7 . A system of nestable beverage bottles comprising:
 a first and a second beverage bottle, each of the first and second beverage bottle comprising:
 a voluminous body defined by a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion comprising:
 a single opening into a voluminous body; 
 a sealing means comprising a threaded neck adjacent to the single opening and an inversely threaded cap for temporarily sealing the nestable beverage container, the neck threaded on an exterior surface of the neck, the cap threaded on an interior surface of the cap; 
 
   the second bottle comprising a connection means positioned beneath the sealing means; and   the first bottle comprising a bottom portion comprising a receiving means shaped to conform to the connection means of the second bottle, the receiving means adapted to receive a cap, the first and second beverage bottle adapted to form a visually continuous side wall when the second beverage bottle is nested within the first beverage bottle.   
     
     
         8 . The system of nestable beverage bottles of  claim 7 , wherein the connection means comprises a threaded section on an exterior surface of the top portion of the second bottle. 
     
     
         9 . The system of nestable beverage bottles of  claim 7 , wherein the receiving means comprises an inverse profile of at least the top portion of the first bottle. 
     
     
         10 . The system of nestable beverage bottles of  claim 7 , further comprising a third beverage bottle, the third beverage container comprising:
 a voluminous body defined by a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion comprising:
 a single opening into a voluminous body; 
 a sealing means comprising a threaded neck adjacent to the single opening and an inversely threaded cap for temporarily sealing the nestable beverage container, the neck threaded on an exterior surface of the neck, the cap threaded on an interior surface of the cap; and 
 a connection means positioned beneath the sealing means; and 
 a bottom portion comprising a receiving means shaped to conform to the connection means of an adjacently nested bottle, the cap securely engaged with the threaded neck when the connection means is securely engaged with a second receiving means on a bottom portion of a second nestable beverage bottle, the third nestable beverage bottle nested within the first nestable beverage bottle, the second nestable beverage bottle nested within the third nestable beverage bottle. 
   
     
     
         11 . The system of nestable beverage bottles of  claim 7 , wherein the first and second beverage bottles each comprise at least one of a polymer, a metal, a metal alloy, glass or combinations thereof. 
     
     
         12 . The system of nestable beverage bottles of  claim 7 , wherein a side wall of the first beverage bottle aligns with a side wall of the second beverage bottle when the second beverage bottle is nested within the first beverage bottle. 
     
     
         14 . A method of creating a system of beverage bottles comprising:
 providing a first and a second beverage bottle, each of the first and second beverage bottles comprising:
 a voluminous body defined by a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion comprising: 
 a single opening into a voluminous body; 
 a sealing means comprising a threaded neck adjacent to the single opening and an inversely threaded cap for temporarily sealing the nestable beverage container, the neck threaded on an exterior surface of the neck, the cap threaded on an interior surface of the cap; and 
 a connection means positioned beneath the sealing means; 
 a bottom portion comprising a receiving means shaped to conform to the connection means of an adjacently nested bottle, the cap securely engaged with the threaded neck when the connection means is securely engaged with a second receiving means on a bottom portion of a second nestable beverage bottle; and 
   securing the connection means of the second beverage bottle with the receiving means of the first beverage bottle.   
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14 , further comprising:
 providing a third beverage bottle, the third beverage bottle comprising:   a voluminous body defined by a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion comprising:
 a single opening into a voluminous body; 
 a sealing means comprising a threaded neck adjacent to the single opening and an inversely threaded cap for temporarily sealing the nestable beverage container, the neck threaded on an exterior surface of the neck, the cap threaded on an interior surface of the cap; and 
 a connection means positioned beneath the sealing means; 
 a bottom portion comprising a receiving means shaped to conform to the connection means of an adjacently nested bottle, the cap securely engaged with the threaded neck when the connection means is securely engaged with a second receiving means on a bottom portion of a second nestable beverage bottle; and 
   securing the connection means of the third beverage bottle with the receiving means of the second beverage bottle.
