Beverage Making Cartridges for Use in a Beverage Making Machine

Abstract

A beverage making cartridge for use in a beverage making machine includes a beverage making cartridge enclosure comprising a gas source portion, the gas source portion further including a solid gas source that through sublimation emits a gas, and a one-way vent arranged in the beverage making cartridge enclosure vents the gas emitted from the solid gas source, such that it can be captured and stored in a gas storage tank, wherein the gas from the gas storage tank is dissolved in a beverage diluent liquid and mixed with at least one of a beverage ingredient to form the beverage. Exemplary embodiment includes a dispenser attached to the beverage making cartridge, the dispenser dispenses the beverage diluent liquid and the beverage ingredient to form a beverage.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A beverage making cartridge for use in a beverage making machine, the beverage making cartridge comprising:
 a beverage making cartridge enclosure comprising a gas source portion, the gas source portion further comprising a solid gas source that through sublimation emits a gas; and   a one-way vent arranged in the beverage making cartridge enclosure vents the gas emitted from the solid gas source, such that it can be captured and stored in a gas storage tank;   wherein the gas from the gas storage tank is dissolved in a beverage diluent liquid and mixed with at least one of a beverage ingredient to form the beverage.   
     
     
         2 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 1 , further comprising:
 an insulation material seals the solid gas source in a sterile environment and moderates rate of sublimation of the solid gas source.   
     
     
         3 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a dispenser attached to the beverage making cartridge enclosure and arranged to dispense the beverage.   
     
     
         4 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the dispenser further comprising:
 a beverage ingredient selector for selecting which, if any, of the beverage ingredient is mixed with the beverage diluent liquid to form the beverage.   
     
     
         5 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a beverage diluent cooler arranged to thermally couple the cool surface temperature of the solid gas source to a beverage diluent receptacle to cool the beverage diluent liquid.   
     
     
         6 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a beverage diluent filter arranged to filter the beverage diluent liquid.   
     
     
         7 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the beverage making cartridge enclosure further comprising:
 at least one of a beverage ingredient portion comprising a beverage ingredient.   
     
     
         8 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 1 , further comprising:
 at least one of a fluid handler for ratio mixing the beverage diluent liquid comprising gas with the beverage diluent liquid absent of the gas to reduce the volumes of the gas in the beverage.   
     
     
         9 . A beverage making cartridge for use in a beverage making machine, the beverage making cartridge comprising:
 a beverage making cartridge enclosure comprising a gas source portion and a beverage ingredient portion, the gas source portion further comprising a solid gas source that through sublimation emits a gas, the beverage ingredient portion comprising a beverage ingredient; and   a one-way vent arranged in the beverage making cartridge enclosure vents the gas emitted from the solid gas source, such that it can be captured and stored in a gas storage tank;   wherein the gas from the gas storage tank is dissolved into the beverage diluent liquid and mixed with at least one of the beverage ingredient to form the beverage.   
     
     
         10 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 9 , further comprising:
 an insulation material seals the solid gas source in a sterile environment and moderates rate of sublimation of the solid gas source.   
     
     
         11 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 9 , further comprising:
 a dispenser attached to the beverage making cartridge enclosure and arranged to dispense the beverage.   
     
     
         12 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 9 , wherein the dispenser further comprising:
 a beverage ingredient selector for selecting which, if any, of the beverage ingredient is mixed with the beverage diluent liquid to form the beverage.   
     
     
         13 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 9 , further comprising:
 a beverage diluent cooler arranged to thermally couple the cool surface temperature of the solid gas source to a beverage diluent receptacle to cool the beverage diluent liquid.   
     
     
         14 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 9 , further comprising:
 a beverage diluent filter arranged to filter the beverage diluent liquid.   
     
     
         15 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 9 , further comprising:
 at least one of a fluid handler for ratio mixing the beverage diluent liquid comprising gas with the beverage diluent liquid absent of the gas to reduce the volumes of the gas in the beverage.   
     
     
         16 . A beverage making cartridge for use in a beverage making machine, the beverage making cartridge comprising:
 a beverage ingredient portion, the beverage ingredient portion comprising a beverage ingredient; and   a dispenser attached to the beverage making cartridge, the beverage making cartridge is arranged to receive a beverage diluent liquid form a beverage diluent receptacle, the dispenser dispenses the beverage diluent liquid and the beverage ingredient to form the beverage.   
     
     
         17 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 16 , wherein the dispenser further comprising:
 a beverage ingredient selector for selecting which, if any, of the beverage ingredient is mixed with the beverage diluent liquid to form the beverage.   
     
     
         18 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 16 , further comprising:
 a beverage diluent filter arranged to filter the beverage diluent liquid.   
     
     
         19 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 16 , further comprising:
 a gas source portion, the gas source portion further comprising a solid gas source that through sublimation emits a gas; and   a one-way vent arranged in the beverage making cartridge enclosure vents the gas emitted from a solid gas source, such that it can be captured and stored in a gas storage tank.   
     
     
         20 . The beverage making cartridge in accordance with  claim 16 , further comprising:
 at least one of a fluid handler for ratio mixing the beverage diluent liquid comprising gas with the beverage diluent liquid absent of the gas to reduce the volumes of the gas in the beverage.
