Abstract
A system for scanning paper media includes at least one microprocessor and a scanner connected to the microprocessor. The scanner is configured to simultaneously scan two or more printed pages using nuclear magnetic resonance and wherein the scanner is configured to send a three-dimensional data set to the microprocessor representing the printed pages.

21 . A system for scanning paper media, comprising:
at least one microprocessor; and a scanner connected to the microprocessor, wherein the scanner being configured to simultaneously scan two or more printed pages using nuclear magnetic resonance and wherein the scanner is configured to send a three-dimensional data set to the microprocessor representing the printed pages.
22 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the microprocessor comprises:
a program for creating an electronic representation of the printed pages from the three-dimensional data set.
23 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the microprocessor creates the electronic representation of the printed pages from ink data within the three-dimensional data set.
24 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the nuclear magnetic resonance excited carbon 13 isotopes within the printed media.
25 . The system of claim 21 , further comprising an output device connected to the microprocessor.
26 . The system of claim 21 , further comprising a display device connected to the microprocessor.
27 . A system for scanning printed media, comprising:
at least one nuclear magnetic resonance device; at least one microprocessor connected to the nuclear magnetic resonance device; and at least one program within the microprocessor, the program capable of creating an electronic representation of printed media placed within the nuclear magnetic resonance device.
28 . The system of claim 27 , wherein the microprocessor can receive a three-dimensional data set from the nuclear magnetic resonance device representing the printed media.
29 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the microprocessor is capable of creating an electronic representation of the printed media from the three-dimensional data set.
30 . The system of claim 29 , wherein the microprocessor is capable of creating the electronic representation of the printed media from ink data within the three-dimensional data set.
31 . A device for scanning paper media, comprising:
a computed tomography device; and at least one tray placed within the computed tomography device, wherein the tray is configured to receive stacked printed media.
32 . The device of claim 31 , wherein the device uses a computed tomography device to scan the printed media.
33 . The device of claim 32 , wherein the computed tomography device is configured to detect ink, paper, or a combination thereof in the printed media.
34 . The device of claim 33 , further comprising:
at least one microprocessor connected to a receiver, the microprocessor capable of receiving a three-dimensional data set representing the printed media.
35 . The device of claim 34 , wherein the microprocessor comprises:
a program for creating an electronic representation of the printed media from the three-dimensional data set.
36 . The device of claim 17 , wherein the microprocessor capable of creating n electronic representation of the printed media from ink data within the three-dimensional data set.
37 . The device of claim 31 , wherein the tray is configured to receive the stacked paper media without dismantling the stacked paper media.
38 . The device of claim 31 , wherein the stacked paper media includes at least one of: a bound spine, a staple, or a paperclip.
39 . A method, comprising:
