Abstract

A craps game is disclosed that combines traditional craps wagers with a set of wagers having longer odds, and thus higher payouts, which are determined based upon the matching of a predefined set of numbers a specified number of times with the roll of the dice prior to the occurrence of a terminating event. In one form, the set of numbers is a single number. In a further form, at least one wager includes a specified number which matches the predefined number which makes up a single member set.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A craps game, comprising:
a craps game layout; a pair of dice each having six faces bearing a visual representation of the numbers one through six, the dice being used to randomly generate a plurality of single roll dice outcomes calculated by adding a number from each die, the single roll dice outcomes including a plurality of point numbers and the number 7; a pass line wagering area on the craps game layout for receiving a bet on a pass line wager, the pass line wager being won when one or more rolls of the dice yield an established point number prior to rolling the number 7; a repeater wagering area for receiving a bet on a repeater wager, the repeater wagering area paying-out all bets placed therein when a plurality of rolls of the dice match a predefined set of one or more numbers a specified number of times including at least one intervening roll of the dice matching a number outside the predefined set without a requirement that more than one number within the set be rolled, prior to a roll yielding a defined terminating event; wherein said predefined set of numbers is associated with said repeater wager and said specified number of times is two or more.

2 . The craps game of claim 1 , wherein the predefined set of one or more numbers is visually indicated on or adjacent to the repeater wagering area to be a single number between 2 and 12.

3 . The craps game of claim 2 , wherein the predefined set of one or more numbers is a single number between 2 and 12, exclusive of 7.

4 . The craps game of claim 3 , wherein the terminating event is visually indicated on or adjacent to the repeater wagering area to be a seven out.

5 . The craps game of claim 1 , wherein the terminating event is visually indicated on or adjacent to the repeater wagering area to be a seven out.

6 . The craps game of claim 4 , wherein said singe number and said specified number of times are visually indicated on or adjacent to the repeater wagering area to be the same.

         7 . (canceled)

8 . The craps game of claim 1 , further comprising tracking indicia located adjacent to said repeater wagering area for tracking the progress toward matching the predefined set of one or more numbers the specified number of times.

9 . The craps game of claim 8 , wherein said tracking indicia located adjacent to said repeater wagering area for tracking the progress toward matching the predefined set of one or more numbers the specified number of times.

         10 . (canceled)

11 . The craps game of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of repeater wagering areas for receiving a bet on one of a plurality of additional unique repeater wagers, wherein said repeater wager is distinct from each of said plurality of additional unique repeater wagers.

         12 - 20 . (canceled)

         21 . A craps game, comprising:
a craps game layout; a pair of dice each having six faces bearing a visual representation of the numbers one through six, the dice being used to randomly generate a plurality of single roll dice outcomes calculated by adding a number from each die, the single roll dice outcomes including a plurality of point numbers and the number 7; a pass line wagering area on the craps game layout for receiving a bet on a pass line wager, the pass line wager being won when one or more rolls of the dice yield an established point number prior to rolling the number 7; two or more distinct repeater wagering areas, each repeater wagering area for receiving a bet on a corresponding repeater wager, said repeater wagering areas paying-out all bets placed therein when a plurality of rolls of the dice match a single predefined number between 2 and 12 exclusive of 7 a specified number of times including at least one intervening roll of the dice which fails to match the predefined number prior to a roll resulting in a seven out; wherein said predefined number equals said specified number of times.

22 . The craps game of claim 2 , wherein the predefined set of one or more numbers consists of a single number.

23 . A method for playing a proposition bet within a game of craps, comprising the steps of:
predetermining a pay-out schedule for the proposition bet, wherein the proposition bet is associated with a predetermined target set of one or more numbers between two and twelve which must be collectively rolled a specified number of times, which is at least two, in order to receive a pay-out; defining a terminating event for the proposition bet; providing a craps table having a wagering area for the proposition bet; accepting at least one player wager indication of the proposition bet using said wagering area; a shooter causing successive single roll outcomes calculated by adding together the upward facing number from each of two die having six faces bearing a visual representation of the numbers one through six respectively; tracking the accumulated number of single roll outcomes matching a number within said target set prior to a single roll outcome yielding said terminating event; the shooter causing a single roll outcome which fails to match a number within said target set and which does not yield said terminating event; paying a pay-out for each player wager indication, based upon the schedule, when said accumulated number of single roll outcomes matching a number within said target set equals the specified number of times associated with the proposition bet without requiring that more than one number within the set be rolled.

25 . The method of claim 23 , further comprising the step of:
tracking an additional single roll outcome matching a number within the target set prior to a single roll outcome yielding said terminating event; paying an additional pay-out for each player wager indication, based upon the schedule.

26 . The craps game of claim 23 , wherein the target set consists of only a single number between 2 and 12.

27 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the single number matches the specified number of times.

28 . The craps game of claim 26 , wherein the target set consists of only a single number between 2 and 12, exclusive of 7.

29 . The craps game of claim 28 , wherein the terminating event is a seven out.
