System for Supporting an Exchange Transaction

Abstract

The present invention is a system for supporting an exchange transaction, in which users can complete exchange transactions between and/or among themselves.

         10 . A transaction system for supporting transactions executed by a plurality of client terminals of a plurality of users,
 wherein:   (a) said transaction system is connected to each of said plurality of client terminals;   (b) said transactions are exchange transactions;   (c) the transaction system is connected to a database that stores data regarding the exchange transactions;   (d) an exchange order x is stored in the database,   the exchange order x including a desired exchange difference XA minus XB, of a user X that desires to perform an exchange transaction, arithmetically determined from:   
       (1) a desired offer value XA of an exchange object A serving as a desired offer item of the user X, and 
       (2) a desired procurement value XB of an exchange object B serving as a desired procurement item of the user X;
 (e) an exchange order y is stored in the database, 
 the exchange order y including a desired exchange difference YA minus YB, of a user Y that desires to perform an exchange transaction, arithmetically determined from: 
 
       (1) a desired procurement value YA of the exchange object A serving as a desired procurement item of the user Y, and 
       (2) a desired offer value YB of the exchange object B serving as a desired offer item of the user Y; and
 (f) the transaction system notifies a client terminal of the user X and a client terminal of the user Y, of execution of the exchange transaction in a case where it is determined between the exchange order x and the exchange order y that: 
 a match exists between (1) the desired exchange difference XA minus XB and (2) the desired exchange difference YA minus YB. 
 
     
     
         11 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 ,
 wherein the transaction system notifies a client terminal of said user X and a client terminal of said user Y, of execution of an exchange transaction at an intermediate value between (1) said desired exchange difference XA minus XB and (2) said desired exchange difference YA minus YB in a case where it is determined that:   said match does not exist between (1) the desired exchange difference XA minus XB and (2) the desired exchange difference YA minus YB.   
     
     
         12 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 , wherein the transaction system:
 (a) receives a request, for a negotiated exchange transaction, sent from a client terminal of a prospective initiating exchanger that takes an option for the negotiated exchange transaction;   (b) sends the received request to a client terminal of a potential exchanging counterparty specified in the request; and   (c) receives information that the negotiated exchange transaction has been completed in a case where the negotiated exchange transaction has been completed between the client terminal of the prospective initiating exchanger and the client terminal of the potential exchanging counterparty,   said information being sent from the client terminal of the prospective initiating exchanger or the client terminal of the potential exchanging counterparty.   
     
     
         13 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 ,
 wherein:   (a) the transaction system is connected to a database that stores information including account numbers and account balances of said users; and   (b) the transaction system notifies one or both of (1) a client terminal of a payer of money including an exchange difference subject to an executed exchange transaction and (2) a client terminal of a recipient of the money, of an inter-account transfer that transfers the money from an account of the payer to an account of the recipient,   in a case where each of (1) an account balance for an account number of the payer and (2) an account balance for an account number of the recipient is updated to reflect the inter-account transfer.   
     
     
         14 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 ,
 wherein:   (a) the transaction system is connected to a database that stores information including account numbers and account balances of said users; and   (b) the transaction system notifies one or both of (1) a client terminal of an assignor of an exchange object subject to an executed exchange transaction and (2) a client terminal of an assignee of the exchange object, of an inter-account transfer that transfers the exchange object from an account of the assignor to an account of the assignee,   in a case where each of (1) an account balance for an account number of the assignor and (2) an account balance for an account number of the assignee is updated to reflect the inter-account transfer.   
     
     
         15 . The transaction system according to  claim 14 , wherein said database comprises one or more databases. 
     
     
         16 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 , comprising one or more computers. 
     
     
         17 . The transaction system according to  claim 16 , wherein any one or more of said computers are located abroad. 
     
     
         18 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 , wherein said database comprises one or more databases. 
     
     
         19 . The transaction system according to  claim 18 , wherein any one or more of said databases are located abroad. 
     
     
         20 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 , wherein any one or more of said client terminals are located abroad. 
     
     
         21 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 , wherein each of said exchange object A and said exchange object B is one or more selected from: (1) a financial asset management product, (2) a real estate asset management product, (3) an asset management product, (4) a capital raising product, (5) a capital transaction product, (6) a financial instrument, (7) a quasi-financial instrument, (8) a precious metal, (9) a nonferrous metal, (10) a metal, (11) an energy-related product, (12) a primary industry product, (13) an object of art, (14) an object of virtu, (15) a commodity product, (16) a product, (17) producer goods, (18) consumer goods, and (19) goods. 
     
     
         22 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 , wherein each of said exchange object A and said exchange object B is one or more selected from: (1) an actual of an asset management product, (2) cash flow of an asset management product, (3) an unrealized profit of an asset management product, (4) an unrealized loss of an asset management product, (5) cash flow of a capital raising product, (6) an unrealized profit of a capital transaction product, and (7) an unrealized loss of a capital transaction product. 
     
     
         23 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 , comprising:
 (a) means for storing said exchange order x in said database;   (b) means for storing said exchange order y in the database;   (c) means for:   comparing the exchange order x and the exchange order y as objects of matching in the database, and   determining whether or not said match exists between (1) said desired exchange difference XA minus XB and (2) said desired exchange difference YA minus YB, to thereby execute said exchange transaction between the exchange order x and the exchange order y; and   (d) means for notifying a client terminal of said user X and a client terminal of said user Y, of execution of the exchange transaction in a case where it is determined that:   the match exists between (1) the desired exchange difference XA minus XB and (2) the desired exchange difference YA minus YB.   
     
     
         24 . The transaction system according to  claim 10 ,
 wherein:   (A) the transaction system is equipped with a central processing unit and a memory,   (B) the memory stores said database, and   (C) the transaction system comprises:   (a) means for storing said exchange order x in the database in the memory;   (b) means for storing said exchange order y in the database in the memory;   (c) means for:   comparing by the central processing unit the exchange order x and the exchange order y as objects of matching in the database, and   determining by the central processing unit whether or not said match exists between (1) said desired exchange difference XA minus XB and (2) said desired exchange difference YA minus YB, to thereby execute said exchange transaction between the exchange order x and the exchange order y; and   (d) means for notifying by the central processing unit a client terminal of said user X and a client terminal of said user Y, of execution of the exchange transaction in a case where it is determined by the central processing unit that:   the match exists between (1) the desired exchange difference XA minus XB and (2) the desired exchange difference YA minus YB.   
     
     
         25 . A transaction system for supporting transactions executed by a plurality of client terminals of a plurality of users,
 wherein:   (a) said transaction system is connected to each of said plurality of client terminals;   (b) said transactions are exchange transactions;   (c) the transaction system is connected to a database that stores data regarding the exchange transactions;   (d) an exchange order x is stored in the database, the exchange order x including:   
       (1) a desired offer value XA of an exchange object A serving as a desired offer item of a user X that desires to perform an exchange transaction, and 
       (2) a desired procurement value XB of an exchange object B serving as a desired procurement item of the user X;
 (e) an exchange order y is stored in the database, the exchange order y including: 
 
       (1) a desired procurement value YA of the exchange object A serving as a desired procurement item of a user Y that desires to perform an exchange transaction, and 
       (2) a desired offer value YB of the exchange object B serving as a desired offer item of the user Y; and
 (f) the transaction system notifies a client terminal of the user X and a client terminal of the user Y, of execution of the exchange transaction in a case where it is determined between the exchange order x and the exchange order y that: 
 a match exists between (1) the desired offer value XA minus the desired procurement value XB and (2) the desired procurement value YA minus the desired offer value YB. 
 
     
     
         26 . A transaction system for supporting transactions executed by a plurality of client terminals of a plurality of users,
 wherein:   (a) said transaction system is connected to each of said plurality of client terminals;   (b) said transactions are exchange transactions;   (c) the transaction system is connected to a database that stores data regarding the exchange transactions;   (d) an exchange order x is stored in the database,   the exchange order x including a desired exchange difference range, of a user X that desires to perform an exchange transaction, arithmetically determined from:   
       (1) a desired offer value XA of an exchange object A serving as a desired offer item of the user X, and 
       (2) a desired procurement value XB of an exchange object B serving as a desired procurement item of the user X;
 (e) a exchange order y is stored in the database, 
 the exchange order y including a desired exchange difference YA minus YB, of a user Y that desires to perform an exchange transaction, arithmetically determined from: 
 
       (1) a desired procurement value YA of the exchange object A serving as a desired procurement item of the user Y, and 
       (2) a desired offer value YB of the exchange object B serving as a desired offer item of the user Y;
 (f) an exchange order z is stored in the database, 
 the exchange order z including a desired exchange difference ZA minus ZB, of a user Z that desires to perform an exchange transaction, arithmetically determined from: 
 
       (1) a desired procurement value ZA of the exchange object A serving as a desired procurement item of the user Z, and 
       (2) a desired offer value ZB of the exchange object B serving as a desired offer item of the user Z; and
 (g) the transaction system notifies a client terminal of the user X and a client terminal of the user Y, of execution of the exchange transaction in a case where it is determined between the exchange order x, the exchange order y and the exchange order z that: 
 each of the desired exchange difference YA minus YB and the desired exchange difference ZA minus ZB falls within said desired exchange difference range, and the desired exchange difference YA minus YB is more favorable to the user X than is the desired exchange difference ZA minus ZB.
