Systems, methods, distributed networks, and computer-readable media are provided that relate to recruiting and employment services. Background information associated with talent-capability attributes is received from talent. Job description information is received from employers. Prospective matches are identified between employers and talent, and employers and talent are given an opportunity to consent to exchange of talent contact information.

1 . A method of using a computer system to pay a fee by a career site operator to a marketing affiliate, the computer system including a processor for performing the following steps, the method comprising:
storing compensation information for a marketing affiliate in an affiliate database; receiving at least one payment by the career site operator of an obligation due the career site operator; and determining the fee owed by the career site operator to the marketing affiliate based upon the marketing affiliate compensation information.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising paying a fee owned to the marketing affiliate by the career site operator.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the fee due comprises at least one of: (i) a fixed fee, and (ii) a percentage of the payment received by the career site operator.
