Beverage cooler

Abstract

A beverage cooler that warms very slowly over time is provided which has a low profile and a configuration that allows one beverage cooler to be nestably stacked atop another beverage cooler. The beverage cooler includes a base which defines an inner fluid-receiving reservoir and a fluid-fill aperture through the base which allows access to the inner fluid-receiving reservoir. A central recess in an upper surface of the base is configured to either receive a lower portion of a pint glass or so that the beverage cooler may serve as a pet water dish. In this latter embodiment, a selectively sealable aperture is provided through the upper surface of the base and within the central recess.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A beverage cooler, comprising:
 a base having an upper surface, a lower surface, and one or more side surfaces connecting the upper surface and the lower surface, the base defining an inner fluid-receiving reservoir;   a central recess formed in the upper surface of the base; and   a fluid-fill aperture through the base, allowing access to the inner fluid-receiving reservoir.   
     
     
         2 . The beverage cooler of  claim 1 , including a removable plug for releasably sealing the fluid-fill aperture. 
     
     
         3 . The beverage cooler of  claim 2 , wherein the fluid-fill aperture is disposed through the lower surface of the base. 
     
     
         4 . The beverage cooler of  claim 1 , wherein the side surfaces of the base are beveled. 
     
     
         5 . The beverage cooler of  claim 1 , wherein the central recess is configured to receive a lower portion of a pint glass. 
     
     
         6 . The beverage cooler of  claim 1 , including a plurality of feet extending from the lower surface of the base. 
     
     
         7 . The beverage cooler of  claim 6 , wherein the feet include a skid-resistant surface. 
     
     
         8 . The beverage cooler of  claim 7 , wherein the base and the feet are configured to allow one beverage cooler to be nestably stacked atop another beverage cooler. 
     
     
         9 . The beverage cooler of  claim 1 , wherein the central recess is configured in a semi-spherical shape. 
     
     
         10 . The beverage cooler of  claim 1 , including a selectively sealable aperture through the upper surface of the base and within the central recess. 
     
     
         11 . The beverage cooler of  claim 10 , wherein the beverage cooler serves as a pet water dish. 
     
     
         12 . A beverage cooler, comprising:
 a base having an upper surface, a lower surface, and one or more side surfaces connecting the upper surface and the lower surface, the base defining an inner fluid-receiving reservoir, wherein the side surfaces of the base are beveled;   a central recess formed in the upper surface of the base;   a fluid-fill aperture through the lower surface of the base, allowing access to the inner fluid-receiving reservoir; and   a removable plug for releasably sealing the fluid-fill aperture.   
     
     
         13 . The beverage cooler of  claim 12 , including a plurality of feet extending from the lower surface of the base. 
     
     
         14 . The beverage cooler of  claim 13 , wherein the feet include a skid-resistant surface. 
     
     
         15 . The beverage cooler of  claim 14 , wherein the base and the feet are configured to allow one beverage cooler to be nestably stacked atop another beverage cooler. 
     
     
         16 . The beverage cooler of  claim 12 , wherein the central recess is configured to receive a lower portion of a pint glass. 
     
     
         17 . The beverage cooler of  claim 12 , including a selectively sealable 
     
     
         18 . The beverage cooler of  claim 17 , wherein the central recess is configured in a semi-spherical shape. 
     
     
         19 . The beverage cooler of  claim 18 , wherein the beverage cooler serves as a pet water dish. 
     
     
         20 . A beverage cooler, comprising:
 a base having an upper surface, a lower surface, and one or more side surfaces connecting the upper surface and the lower surface, the base defining an inner fluid-receiving reservoir, wherein the side surfaces of the base are beveled;   a central recess formed in the upper surface of the base;   a fluid-fill aperture through the lower surface of the base, allowing access to the inner fluid-receiving reservoir;   a removable plug for releasably sealing the fluid-fill aperture; and   a plurality of feet extending from the lower surface of the base, each foot including a skid-resistant surface;   wherein the base and the feet are configured to allow one beverage cooler to be nestably stacked atop another beverage cooler.   
     
     
         21 . The beverage cooler of  claim 20 , wherein the central recess is configured to receive a lower portion of a pint glass or so to serve as a pet water dish. 
     
     
         22 . The beverage cooler of  claim 21 , wherein the central recess is configured in a semi-spherical shape. 
     
     
         23 . The beverage cooler of  claim 22 , including a selectively sealable aperture through the upper surface of the base and within the central recess.
