Information processing apparatus and control method therefor, and print apparatus and control method therefor

Abstract

In the case that a plurality of users execute output reservations while looking at targets to be output together, the necessity for an operation to sort the output materials by user after output is eliminated. The plurality of users are classified, the plurality of targets to be output selected in a scattered manner by the plurality of classified users are bulked together as selected targets to be output for each user, and those bulked targets to be output are output for each user.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An information processing apparatus that outputs to each of a plurality of users one or more targets to be output which the user has reserved an output thereof, comprising:
 a display control unit configured to cause a display to display one or more images which represent candidates of the one or more targets to be output;   a first acquisition unit configured to acquire identification information of each of the plurality of users;   a second acquisition unit configured to acquire a plurality of user's inputs on the displayed images on the display;   a storage unit configured to store information which associates a target reserved to be output out of the candidates of the one or more targets to be output, with a user who has reserved the output of the target to be output, based on information for identifying users acquired by said first acquisition unit and the plurality of user's inputs acquired by said second acquisition unit; and   an output unit configured to collectively output the one or more targets to be output that the outputs thereof are reserved, for each target to be output that the same user has reserved an output thereof, based on information stored in said storage unit.   
     
     
         2 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein said first acquisition unit comprises a fingerprint authentication unit configured to authenticate each fingerprint of the plurality of users that executes an instruction input to said display using fingers, and   wherein the information for identifying each of the plurality of users acquired by said first acquisition unit is information representing an authentication result by said fingerprint authentication unit.   
     
     
         3 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the information for identifying each of the plurality of users acquired by said first acquisition unit is information representing directions of fingers when each of the plurality of users executed instruction inputs to said display using fingers. 
     
     
         4 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein said first acquisition unit comprises an identification unit configured to identify gestures which are input in handwriting on said display by each of the plurality of users, and   wherein the information for identifying each of the plurality of users acquired by said first acquisition unit is information representing an identification result by said identification unit.   
     
     
         5 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein
 said output unit outputs different output configurations, for each target to be output that the same user has reserved an output thereof.   
     
     
         6 . The information processing apparatus according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the target to be output is a picture, and   wherein the information processing apparatus is a printing apparatus that prints out one or more pictures for which users reserved a printing, to each of the plurality of users.   
     
     
         7 . A method for controlling an information processing apparatus that outputs to each of a plurality of users one or more targets to be output which the user has reserved an output thereof, the method comprising the steps of:
 a display control step of causing a display to display one or more images which represent candidates of the one or more targets to be output;   a first acquisition step of acquiring identification information of each of the plurality of users;   a second acquisition step of acquiring a plurality of user's inputs on the displayed images on the display;   a storage step of storing information which associates a target reserved to be output out of the candidates of the one or more targets to be output, with a user who has reserved the output of the target to be output, based on information for identifying users acquired in said first acquisition step and the plurality of user's inputs acquired in said second acquisition step; and   an output step of collectively outputting the one or more targets to be output that the outputs thereof are reserved, for each target to be output that the same user has reserved an output thereof, based on information stored in said storage step.   
     
     
         8 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a computer program that causes a computer to execute each process of the method for controlling an information processing apparatus according to  claim 7 .
