Abstract

A medicinal delivery device adapted to being applied to a surface of an internal organ and exhibiting a three dimensional shaped body having an upper surface and at least one underside layer within which is entrained a medicinal application layer. Upon adhering the underside of the body to an exterior of the organ, medication is administered in a controlled and time release delivery fashion. A deformable upper portion of the body is provided in combination with at least one underside and suction inducing location. The medicinal and suction inducing locations further can include concentrically arranged layers. An aperture is located within an enclosed inner defined volume associated with the suction inducing location.

Claims

We claim:

1 . A medicinal delivery device adapted to being applied to a surface of an internal organ, comprising:
a three dimensional shaped body exhibiting an upper surface and at least one underside layer within which is entrained a medicinal application layer; and upon adhering said underside to an exterior of the organ, said body providing for controlled and time release delivery of medication to the organ.

2 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 1 , said body further comprising a deformable upper portion in combination with at least one underside and suction inducing location.

3 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 2 , said medicinal and suction inducing locations further comprising concentrically arranged layers.

4 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 3 , further comprising an aperture located within an enclosed inner defined volume associated with said suction inducing location.

5 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 2 , said body further comprising a plurality of individual and suction inducing pads.

6 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 5 , said suction inducing pads further comprising octopus style suction cups.

7 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 3 , further comprising a needle inserted through a soft self-sealing material incorporated within said body for creating internal suction.

8 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 2 , said body further comprising an inner suction chamber interconnected with a plurality of individual outer and perimeter extending chambers.

9 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of underside projecting prongs for attaching said body to the organ.

10 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 1 , further comprising a tool for implanting the delivery device.

11 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 10 , said tool further comprising an elongated body with forward actuating gripping fingers for locating and implanting said three dimensional shaped body of the delivery device.

12 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 10 , said three dimensional shaped body further comprising inwardly deflectable gripping portions accessible through recessed locations exhibited on a rear surface of said body.

13 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 11 , further comprising a trigger on said tool for activating said gripping fingers.

14 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 10 , further comprising said tool exerting a vacuum retaining force on a flexible surface of said three dimensional shaped body.

15 . The medicinal delivery device according to claim 10 , said tool further comprising a light source for assisting in implantation of said three dimensional shaped body.

16 . A medicinal delivery device adapted to being applied to a surface of an internal organ, comprising:
a three dimensional shaped body exhibiting an upper surface and at least one underside layer within which is entrained a medicinal application layer; said body further having a deformable upper portion in combination with at least one underside and suction inducing location, said body further including a plurality of individual and suction inducing pads; and upon adhering said underside to an exterior of the organ, said body providing for controlled and time release delivery of medication to the organ.

17 . A medicinal delivery device adapted to being applied to a surface of an internal organ, comprising:
a three dimensional shaped body exhibiting an upper surface and at least one underside layer within which is entrained a medicinal application layer; a tool for implanting the delivery device, said tool including an elongated body with forward actuating gripping fingers for locating and implanting said three dimensional shaped body of the delivery device, a trigger on said tool for activating said gripping fingers; and upon adhering said underside to an exterior of the organ, said body providing for controlled and time release delivery of medication to the organ.
