Golf tee and accessory holder

Abstract

A series of angled, collinear stitches or adhesive lines create parallel rows of slots which join a length of elastic material to a backing material, thus providing readily accessible storage for standard golf tees, in addition to housing a ring accessory assembly which is attached to a male coupling on the lower back side of the device which may be utilized for storage of any number of available accessories which would otherwise attach to a ring or a loop provided on a golf bag.

1 . A golf tee and accessory holder comprising:
 a generally planar backing substrate having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, and characterized by a length that is greater than a width of the backing substrate; a flexible substrate fixably coupled with the first side of the backing substrate at a plurality of positions along the length of the backing substrate such that a plurality of channels are defined between the backing substrate and flexible substrate transverse to the length of the backing substrate, wherein the flexible substrate is configured to secure a golf tee against the backing substrate within at least one of the plurality of channels.   
     
     
         2 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a female coupling located on the second side of the backing substrate, and configured to releasably attach the golf tee holder to a male coupling existing on a golf bag.   
     
     
         3 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 2 , further comprising:
 a male coupling located on the second side of the backing substrate near to an end of the backing substrate opposite an end of the backing substrate near to which the female coupling is located, and configured to releasably receive a female coupling.   
     
     
         4 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 1 , wherein the flexible substrate comprises an elastic member. 
     
     
         5 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 4 , wherein the elastic member is heat treatable, and is fixably coupled with the backing substrate by a bond formed by heating the elastic member in proximity to the backing substrate. 
     
     
         6 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 1 , wherein the flexible substrate is fixably coupled with the backing substrate by at least one of the group consisting of: stitching, glue, and fasteners. 
       The golf tee holder of  claim 1 , wherein the couplings are formed at an angle different than equal to a transverse axis angle of the length of the backing substrate. 
     
     
         7 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 6 , further comprising a female coupling located on the second side of the backing substrate near a first end, wherein the angle on which the couplings are formed is less than a ninety degree angle formed at the intersection of a transverse axis of the backing substrate and a perpendicular axis to the transverse axis that bisects the midpoint of the female coupling. 
     
     
         8 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 1 , wherein the holder defines at least 4 channels along the length of the backing substrate, the capacity within each of which is such that a single golf tee may be inserted and angled so as to additionally utilize the principal of gravity, thus securing the tees by two methods. 
     
     
         9 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 1 , wherein the backing substrate comprises a fabric flexible substrate fixably coupled with the first side of the backing substrate at a plurality of positions along the length of the backing substrate such that a plurality of channels are defined between the backing substrate and flexible substrate transverse to the length of the backing substrate, wherein the flexible substrate is configured to secure a golf tee against the backing substrate within at least one of the plurality of channels. 
     
     
         10 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 1 , wherein the flexible substrate is characterized by a length and width that is less than the length and width of the backing substrate, such that when fixably attached to the backing substrate, the flexible substrate is fully contained within a boundary defined on all sides by the backing substrate. 
     
     
         11 . The golf tee and accessory holder of  claim 1 , wherein each coupling comprises a pair of couplings having a space between that is equal to the width of a golf tee, and wherein each of the channels defined are defined on each side by one coupling of each pair of couplings. 
     
     
         12 . The golf tee holder of  claim 3 , further comprising a ring assembly having a fabric loop fixably coupled with a ring as well as female coupling, wherein the ring assembly is releasably coupled with the male coupling located on the second side of the backing substrate.
